Why does everyone have such hate for Mora? Is it the fact that he lucked his way to 2 title shots, his personality or what?

For me it was when he turned down the fight with Taylor like he was some big shot or something. Up until then I was indifferent about him.
I didn't like the way Bayless refed that fight. Harold Ledderman accurately pointed out that he was giving Margarito one too many warnings and wasn't allowing Antonio to fight on the inside as much as he wanted to early on. As a result Margo didn't get going with his offense until a little later in the fight.
Back when Contender Season One went down I picked Mora to win the whole thing, and rooted for him. I pretty much turned against him in the Eric Regan fight. Regan is a low level club fighter, but Mora acted like he just beat godzilla. After that he was awarded a bogus tko over Archak Termelikstatian. He claimed the fans booed because they do not understand boxing. Next up -- he turned down a shot at JT because of the venue. The list goes on and on. Mora the Moron is a complete jack ass.
Pavlik owes his ass to Smoger: a lot of referees would have stopped the first JT fight. The results of him not doing so show that we need more of Smoger, and less of Joe Cortez. Anyway, at least that way we'll get to see some blood, because that's the only way that fight's going to be interesting. :tired
In my opinion there is more to it than Smoger just letting fighters fight. Consider the Pavlik/Hopkins points deductions. Both were terrible calls. In my opinion the ref realized he screwed up when he took a point from KP, so later on he arbitrarily took one from BHop. In the end it made no difference, but it's still two bad calls in one fight. Smoger doesn't let that kind of crap happen.
Hell yeah. I agree with everybody so far, Smoger is the man PERIOD...but def. great choice for this fight. I have a rather unhealthy blood) dislike for Mora....it's borderline insane and obsessive... If Smoger is reffing this, then there is no doubt I will buy the damned thing, just to see Mora get shown he's NOT one of the "Big Boys".:yep
The list goes on and on for that ****er. One of the last straws for me was seeing him sitting next to Sugar Ray "****ing" Leonard, like he belonged there and seemed to be telling Sugar how the fight was going.:shock::verysad
I'll buy just for the Mora destruction as well, but would sure as hell like to see the Abraham fight replayed on this PPV. It's only sensible with the impending showdown(beatdown) later in the year!
Yep -- and hopefully Arum really does show the Abraham/Lorenzo fight on tape delay. Lorenzo is almost as bad as Mora. He once claimed Top Rank would never let him near KP. Seeing two loudmouths get forced into shutting the **** up would be well worth the price.
It don't matter its a **** fight, Mora should not even have a title shot at middleweight. I will not watch it.
