That was tounge in cheek mac.

And 2 weeks later Kotelnik-Ortiz is finished and Khan gets the shot at AK. Coincidence?

Im assuming it wasnt finalised and Warren jumped on it.

He could easily offer more money to the WBA and Kotelnik for a Khan fight than they would get for Ortiz. Sad facts.

And Kotelnk, along with as it seems the rest of the Boxing population, thinks that Khan only needs tapped on the jaw to get get rid of. He must see an easy pay-day. More fool him.

    Khan by wide UD.

Just to back up the chap before the Kotelnik comment was tongue in cheek. Khan has said some daft **** but blameless this time around, i've not disliked him much since the Prescott defeat to be fair. Warren suggested he could well move straight back down even ifhe beats Kotelnik.

Kotelnik is extremely underrated. Wouldn't surprise me if he did beat Khan.

    That said Amir will win.

    At last:happy

    Someone who recognises this fact.

Khan has spent nearly all his career feeding on blown-up FW and SFW's. The guy he's fighting next, Kotelnik, is a genuine LWW and a champion at the weight.

As I said before, Kotelnik is solid if unspectacular, but this is a legitimate bona fide 50/50 match-up.

I can't see how anyone can complain, only if they are arguing about Khan getting a shot at a title in a division he has never fought in (but, of course, boxing works that way sometimes).

Kotelnik is the best fight for Khan, he is a step up in class and he is not heavy handed, Khan is looking for fights with skilled boxers who wont expose his weaknesses. (his chin)

You might be stoned but you got that much right....can't wait to see him flopping around wondering why he can hear counting in his head. It won't be long either, I suspect even though this guy is a crap champion he'll still KO Khan :yep

    Good post.

It's a **** off step up for Khan. Barrera's name is nice but he's up against a proven LWW, and Champ to boot, who's never been stopped.

12 rounds of Khan being as offensive as he is, while protecting his chin makes for an exciting championship fight that Khan will be on here, and most Bookies, an underdog. Good fight and I cant wait.

I agree, Khan has the skills and Kotelnik doesn't have the power.

If he wins he will get credit for stepping up for the fight, if he looses he will get the old glass chin treatment.
