It is possible. He took massive shots in his last fight which led to the knockdown... McCline is certainly capable of such massive shots. But if Chris can take them and recover, he'll probably get the W because McCline has such bad stamina. Probably the first 4 rounds will determine what happens. If Chris can weather the storm, I think he wins.
it's possible. Mccline is very dangerous early. He can hurt anyone if he connects. he's got really heavy hands. Arreola is a tough guy with decent skills and power but he went to the Sam Peter school of defense....and if ur a hw that's real bad cause ur gonna have a short career. u can't let big punchers put their hands on u like that. it will catch up with u pretty quickly. I see both men landing good shots and perhaps Mccline hurting and dropping Arreola but Mccline's lousy stamina and lack of aggression allows Arreolla to be busier and take it on pts. If Vitali fights him in the summer, Arreola will be totally and utterly destroyed. It will a danny williams type of beating.
i dont get the hype behind this guy...yes hes got a perfect record...but hes a heavyweight...jesus, theres NO ONE in that div. I hope he does well...But he just seems like your average heavyweight slugger
McCline, in true journeyman fashion, will drop Arreola early; and then, prompty go into his shell to lose a comfortable decision.
i am not a fan of arreola. i have a hard time pulling for a guy who doesn't have the discipline or dedication to train in any serious way simply because the heavyweight division doesn't put the demand of making weight on its fighters. he doesn't have to be a brawler, he could be so much more than that, but he reduces himself to a one dimensional state. i've seen pics and video of arreola in camp for this fight and he just looks like the spare tire is gumming up his balance, flexibility and putting lead in his shoes, draining his ability to spar with a full tank, let alone fight for real for the duration. that said, it is a waste of talent because arreola has natural abilities that guys who sweat themselves raw in the gym would kill for. arreola has great knockout power and that cannot be taught or trained if it doesn't exist naturally and he seems to have great instincts about how, when and where to throw a punch, this can be taught, but is enhanced greatly by a natural inclination toward 'getting it.' even though arreola spits on his gifts in some large way, i just cannot see him dropping this fight to mccline. mccline is a big strong guy who has been in with some terrific fighters and held his own over the years, but he has looked so threadbare, so worn, so much like a fighter running on pride, fumes and frustration over never quite getting there in his career. against ruiz, peter and mollo he just looked like an old fighter whose will cannot command the body at a high level. the various injuries, over the years, i am sure do not help his condition of looking the aged fighter these days. i think the mccline of five years ago would probably go out there and knock a poorly conditioned arreola out. but this ain't yesterday, as they say, and despite arreola's problems, i just think that mccline will be too uneven, too inactive, too hesitant to get over on arreola and take advantage of any of his self-inflicted weaknesses and vulnerabilities enough to pull out a victory. jameel is a tough ******* and i think he will take arreola the distance, but, unless arreola literally passes out from dehydration and gasping tiredness, i think he can cruise all the way through boring inactive later rounds after starting strong and take a decision.
arreola its going to stay away from the first 3 rounds and then macline will start to fade then arreola will ko his ass in 8rds
Does anybody remember Joe Hipp? That's who Arreola reminds me of. Fortunately for Arreola, outside of the Klits (even they're debatable) it's a thin crop of crap. Joe Hipp probably could've grabbed an alphabet strap today and Arreola probably will.
Arreola is better than Hipp. He will go farther. This is a very dangerous fight for Arreola early. I expect him to win, he has some skills many do not remember. We will find out Saturday night.
i agree. i don't know why he doesn't get the credit he deserves. He is got a good amatuer back ground, good power, and technically is a sound fighter. is he ali? no, but he is not as putrid as some make it out to be. I think a focused and in shape Aerrola has greater chance of beating wlad than Haye does. i agree mccline is no cake walk, but arrelo should win.
