Arum will apparently present Cotto with 6 names and they will have to make a decision there, also according to Arum Manny Steward isn't one of the 6, he says Manny wouldn't work well with Cotto.

Who do you think the 6 trainers are and who will Cotto pick?

Nazim would be a great choice but i just dont see it.

my guess for the 6 trainers are:

Buddy Mcgirt, Joe Goossen, Ronnie Shields, (possibly) Freddie Roach, one of the Mayweather or Tommy Brooks.

yeah all good trainers for sure. i'm sure roach will be angling hard to get it. nazim would be great considering how he gameplans so well.

At this stage in Cotto's life it don't really matter. IMO
Dude has been doing boxing/fighting prob half his life, it's second nature to him.
They could hire Richard Simmons to do the training & Cotto will be 100%

MC just needs someone who will get him in shape & motivated for road work.
There this no "Appolo Creed" who will transform him.. (In reality)

Which ever coaches are known for being on top of their PE game.
    That's Cotto's best bet.

He said Manny is preparing Wlad for the Haye fight on the 20th and Cotto fights just a week before so it wouldn't work. It better not be Buddy McGirt!

Wrong, a coach is as important as the fighter, a good coach creates good gameplans, is able to work the corner well, a good motivator, someone who can pick up little mistakes and improve the fighter, look at what Manny Steward did for Lewis and Klit.

I would be fine with Shields or goossen, but Roach, Mustafa Muhammad and Nazim would be perfect.

A fighter has to commit to the trainer.. 2 months don't sound long enough for that.

I bet they hire a temp & Cotto & Cotto "Break up to make up" for his next.

doubt it would be roach, i thought that manny cotto fight had been expected for down the line

for cottos sake he shouldnt go to buddy mcgirt

roger mayweather could work, but the floyd fight might be a possibilty

does anyone know if hes prepared to leave puerto rico to set up a full camp?

Roach would be the best fight IMO but Arum wants to make Pac-Cotto in the future so he won't let them have the same trainer. Too much money to make.

Yes he is, infact the whole thing with his uncle started because Cotto wanted to train in Florida instead of Puerto Rico.
