I was watching a film on itv last night and a commercial came up with all the sport which was going to be on the channel in april, they showed snippets of CF against pascal, could this mean what im hoping???
I don't think they will be willing to splash out all that much for it, considering the time it will be on and the amount of viewers, and therefore ad revenue, they will get at 4AM. Hope I'm wrong though.
it was quite late, but why would they show it for no reason, it might mean they will be repeating the match shortly after the fight is finished, ala, noon the next day
I haven't see the clip you mention, but generally if its a promotion for ITV sport, then they will include clips from all the major sporting events they have hosted recently, and if boxing is an integral part of the ITV sport package then it would make sense to include a clip from the most recent big fight.
Keep clutching at those straws :good ITV getting this would be a massive coup for them, I'd be very pleased.
I have seen the advert, was advertising 'big fight live', but that could just be this Saturday's fight on ITV4, although I hope I am wrong.
So you saw the regular ITV sports ad and thought that is a sign that the Froch fight is being shown? Doesn't really suggest anything, IMO. They still show boxing, so they will naturally show some boxing stuff on the ad, and the bit of boxing they showed was a Froch fight.
Can't see how they could get live now even if they wanted it - but I'd be suprised if they didn't get it delayed. If they are out of the reckoning (if they ever were in) that clears the path for Setanta
Fingers crossed. ITV would be the best place to have it. They did okay with the Calzaghe v Lacy bill. They should have invested earlier and tried to secure an earlier showing, even if by an hour or two. It would make a huge difference. 4.30 main events is a killer. 2.30 would be **** easy for the majority. I remember hearing that Enzo v Hobson got more viewers than Joe v Lacy and it's cos of the time!
its listed on the paddypower website as starting at 2.00 am, thats not too late for the general viewer
With this evidence alone, I think your being rather hopeful to say the least. It fact I'd say it means nothing : ) Having said that, Calzaghe v Lacy made ITV, not all that long ago really, and as far as I remember they delayed the fight for the US audience. They got that relatively big fight, and showed it at a wee hour... Still praying myself that Setanta or ITV pick it up...
