Q: Is Dave Haye any better of a fighter than Juan C. Gomez?

he's way better than gomez..gomez looked horrible

 

The thing that bugs me is whether Haye will be able to handle a bigger guy. Gomez had that problem with Vitali. Haye weighs less than Gomez, and about the same height. Yeah, he is faster and a better fighter than Gomez, but, Wlad is just as fast and skilled. The size difference might be the main factor in this fight. Wlad might overpower Haye.

Fail. Gomez is the more experienced, better schooled, technically superior fighter. His chin is also far superior.

 

Judging from the ignorant responses to this thread's question it would seem none of you have seen Gomez fight before the Vitali match.

The only edge I'd give to Haye over Gomez is speed & punch power. In no way is Haye a better skilled fighter.

 

And Haye is actually a proud athlete who takes pride in his body like Wlad and Vitali do...... but unfortunatly the other 99% of HW division do not have the same mentality

 

How is Haye better than Gomez?

Gomez has a much better resume than Haye at Heavyweight. His Cruiserweight resume is not too far off in recent light of Maccarenelli being a complete Glass Jawed joke and British level fighter. Haye's best wins are Mormeck and Fragomeni. That is hardly a good resume.

No way would the Glass Jawed Haye last 9 rounds with Vitali Klitschko either.

I am amazed at the way Haye is overrated on here just because he is fighting a Klitschko. The guy can't even take punches from Cruiserweights and has had stamina issues also. He is going to get crushed.

He has never been KO'd ........ he gets put down now and then, but he has always got up and all but in one fight has been the victor afterwards

 

They are the same fighter. Haye is a bit younger but Gomez has more experience. They should fight after Haye gets knocked out. I'd say Haye by SD at this point but who knows how much Wlad will take out of him.

 

only klit fans dont wanna give haye credit..why i dont know..hes the former undisputed cruiserweight champ..has personality,is in great shape.......are ya'll scared cause wlad had to fight a young energetic beast??

 

Guess what? When you keep getting knocked down you can't take punches. Why do you think the body goes down? Because it can't take it.

My point was Haye's resume is very overrated and he has not fought anyone at Heavyweight like Gomez has.

Oh, and there is also that issue with Haye's Glass Jaw.

The guy is a complete hype job and he will ghet brutally KOed and embarrassed by Klitschko.

Neither has been KO'd for the count, that's true. However, Wlad has been facing Heavyweight punchers his entire career & Haye has yet to be hit by one flush. For the record Wlad is the biggest puncher at Heavyweight right now, in case you weren't aware.
