If fighter A scores two knockdowns it becomes 10-7, but what happens Fighter B scores one knockdown, or 2 knockdowns, what will the scores be?

if fighter b gets 1 knockdown its a 10-8 round if he scores 2 also the round is even 9-9

Score the round like you normally would, 10-9 to the winner or 10-10 if its even, and then deduct 1 point for each knockdown.

9-9 only happens if there's a point deduction (foul). As Ph|lla said, if things even up, you revert to who won the round and take it from there.

  6. So using the OP's example, where both fighters score 2 knockdowns (let's assume that means it's an even round), would the score then be 8-8?

What if fighter A is winning the round and scores 1 kd but fighter B scores 2 kds?
Does the fact that fighter A would win the round if there were no kds make any difference?

Nah, remember the **** the one judge rec'd for not scoring round 1 of Pac/JMM 10-6?

I think judges have some leaway - for example if it's not a clean kd, they may still score a 10-9 round. In your example, if fighter A REALLY dominated, it could end up a 10-10 round, but that would be very rare (I believe one of the kd's would have to be suspect). Usually, I believe it would be scored 10-9 for the guy with 2 kd's.

As a rule, 1 pt per kd, but I don't think it's automatic (but if you don't do it, you best be ready for some explanation - in the Pac/JMM fight, I believe the judge just admitted he blew it).

No, its a 10 point MUST! The winner of the round gets 10 points (minus deductions) but the knockdowns don't count as deductions. The first part was right though.

I was just wondering what if one guy only lands 2 punches in a round but they are both kds but the other guy lands 50 punches with just the 1 kd. You would still score the round to the guy who lands more, right?

What happens if a guy totally dominates a round (say Mayweather vs Hatton round 8) but the loser of the round scored a flash KD......

9-9 surely..... bearing in mind that round was a clear 10-8?
