HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, didn't think of that, now even crazier outcome!

 

77-74 would have been right if the scores were to Corley!!!!!

 

Not watching, but it sounds pretty bad - did Atlas have anything to say about the lousy judging?

 

Any time I see three scorecards that are exactly the same, and happen to be part of a bs decision, you know the fight wasn't on the up and up. You know what I think the funniest part of the corruption in judging is, they are not even good at being corrupt. Make it a one point MD win for Sanchez. Don't make it a 77-74 across the board win. Anyone who watched that fight knows there is no humanly possible way those could have been the scores of that fight.

 

Seriously... wtf?? How does that guy even have a job at ESPN? This is supposed to be the premier network for sports. Shouldnt they check their information before spewing it to everyone as if it's fact? HORRIBLE..

Bad enough boxing rarely ever gets any exposure on ESPN, do they have to hire ******s as well? ESPN can eat a fat dick. How hard is it to hire someone who actually knows something? ****.. they should let me host the show.. they can even pay me in Doritos..

 

I thought Teddy scored it right. Impressed with Chop Chops effort. I look forward to seeing Sanchez getting in the ring with a proven puncher!

 

Did Chop Chop run over the referee's dog or something?

Long interruptions whenever Sanchez was hurt, blundering into the fighters way too often, staring at Corley the entire round... I'm surprised he didn't try to dock points for not being Sanchez.

 

Give me 5 minutes with those ****ing judges and a blow torch, and I'll fix this ****ing travesty. Corley 78-73!!!!

 

I had it 5-3 for Corley...and I'm a pretty big Sanchez fan so that says a lot. A good fight for Sanchez, a tough learning experience for someone who could use one. Feel bad for Corley who kind of gets the short end but that may be better for him in the long run. He'll continue to get fights against prospects as a measuring stick for how those fighters would do on the next level.

Just would've liked to have seen him eek the decision.

 

I had a bad feeling when Atlas kept calling it close. It was not that close. I gave Sanchez 2 rounds; 3 if you're generous, and Chop chop had a 10-8 round. It was not that close, but I had a feeling Chop needed to get a KO or get screwed.

 

It wasn't that close but then again judges love to make it interesting.

Honestly it's one of those "better in the long run" sort of moves I guess. Personally Sanchez will probably burn out as a B- sort of fighter where as Chop Chop's status is probably undamaged from this fight. Win or lose, he made his impression.

The thing is with 140 being so stacked, Corley is pretty much f*cked at this point. Normally you'd figure Chop Chop would be on the comeback trail and likely looking at another big fight with an up and coming prospect. Problem is there's no big prospect left and the road to the title is blocked by about 5-10 GREAT fighters all standing in his way.

140 is an awesome division.

 

I'm sure Corley will be fine, but this sort of thing really pisses me off. I'm still pissed about Diamond/Heurta, and Green/Linton, and that **** happened YEARS agoatsch

 

I hear ya. I was pretty upset over Gato/Augustus. That said Boxing has desensitized me to poor decisions. Watch it for more than 10 years and it's sort of like 2nd nature. I guess I can thank Don King and Sven Ottke for that.

 

I somewhat enjoyed the Lopez fight, but not really exciting. I missed the other ones.

 

Watch the first fight on the undercard. A young guy trained by Brother Nazeem who's really taken those lessons to heart - versatile jab, pulling the right hand trigger whenever the jab creates an opportunity, lots of ring intelligence for a young guy, etc. It almost balanced out me getting so pissed off at the Corley/Sanchez referee.
