True, but if a piece of crap southpaw like Sam Soliman can nearly an upset over Winky then just imagine what 6ft 3 inch, high volume puncher, Paul Williams will do.

Williams will just keep throwing. The question is does Wright have the ability to counter as Williams is throwing. He'll have to do that to win rounds otherwise Williams gets rounds on pure workrate and stopping Wright from getting off.

Let's first see how he does now then we can decide. It all depends on how Winky performs and if he performs in his style as he usually does after the long lay off. If he doesn't do so 100% yet still manages to steal some rounds and give Williams trouble then it's easy to say that in his prime he would have won.

Got to wait till the fight is over to decide, you never know he might actually win. Please not that Teddy Atlas picked him. :yep

Is this a joke? Winky will beat him TONIGHT, so what do you think he'd do to Williams if Winky was still in his prime!

I've seen him get outworked by a limited but high volume puncher in Harry Simon.

Wright has only really excelled against come forward fighters. Williams has the option of moving in and out, with his 83 inch reach.

No I didn't, but I heard Soliman gave him trouble and made Wright look a bit flustered due to his unorthodox style.

winky hurt soliman all thru the fight..and soliman fights nothing like williams more like an even more unorthadox calzaghe

True, but Wright is such a class act that you feel he will always put on a decent performance and his performance levels will never fluctuate to the extent that some fighters do when they're inactive.

    Not going to happen.

    And yes it still will.

Everybody here knows Winky would dominate PW prime-for-prime.

I know, but Soliman and Williams are both high volume punchers.

Williams is high volume and a whole lot more as well.

If people genuinely think Wright will win then I might take those odds of 2-1.

Good job I bookmarked this thread because when you make derogatory remarks like that to other people who just come here to discuss scenarios you're going to become a poster child for what it is to be a complete and utter pratt come tomorrow.

Stylistically, I feel the fight highly favors Williams. We'll have to see how the fight tonight goes and will have to draw conclusions from that.

Winky could beat virtually anybody in his prime. What on earth makes you think he wouldn't be able to deal with Williams?
