If it's a Hatton fight it depends.

As long as Hatton is allowed to hold and hit, headbutt, elbow, rabbit punch, punch behind the head, shove, low blow at will, chokeslam, eye gouge, suplex and ddt then it's fair.

I think it depends entirely on the level of fight. A friend of mine who refs on those small-ish NYC boxing shows makes anywhere from 300 to 550 a night.

I know it was documented Mills Lane made about 10k in one of his superfights. I'd imagine they wouldn't go much beyond that for a superfight these days. Mills was one of a kind.

The big money is reserved for judges in the pockets of promoters.

I'd have to imagine they pay for travel if you're out of state. My friend is in the city so he doesn't go that far at all.

He also gets to eat and drink whatever he feels like in the arena, usually the Grand Ballroom at Hammerstein.

Also depends in a Hatton fight!

As long as Hatton is allowed two or three emerald fusions and Tombstone piledrivers he gets 100 to 200 "quids" extra.

Mickey Vann has reached the mandatory retirement age with the BBBoC and has called it a day. Referees do not get paid on their profile - it is on the fight and fight alone. WBC give a percentage of the combined fighters purse hence Mills Lane saw 10K for a Tyson fight. The most a referee could see out of a Hatton fight would be $2500 on the IBO pay scale.
