That has to be one of the absolute worst decisions in boxing history! Winky OWNED Williams from start to finish? What ****ing fight were those blind judges watching? I, for one, hope there is an investigation into this matter. ROBBERY! Actually, I'm just here to eat some crow. Boy, did that turn out differently than I anticipated. Williams looked awesome. :smoke
Good man Rumsfeld, but did you really expect anything else than this outcome? I wanted Winky too but my brain said otherwise.
Winky did well, I was impressed. I thought he won 1, 3, 4 and maybe one more round. But I'm pro Winky. Williams is just impossible to deal with and proved to be an AWFUL matchup for Winky.
Nope. Sadly, I believed Winky would win in a mismatch! Luckily for me, you can't be any more wrong than I was in the lead-up to DLH-Pac, so this one will be easy to forget about. Nothing I thought would happen played out. :smoke
I was maybe too forgiving of Winky... I gave him four rounds (1st, 5th, 9th and 10th), but they (and the 4th) were swing rounds for me. Anybody else score WW that high?
Before the fight i tought Williams would win a close UD...But i never expected a performance like that...Winky got owned badly...
You're clearly not getting it here my friend. Winky is OLD, close to done. He will either take a step down in opponents, or serve as gatekeeper for up and comers. It happens to all fighters who stick around long enough.
Oh, shut the hell up ya old hippie. I did not talk **** to you when your boy Margocheater got his ass handed to him by Mosley the Magnificent. Hell, I didn't even give you too much **** after the Giants pissed all over the ****-sucking Patriots.
I gave WInky rounds 1, 6, and 7, but after I gave him the 7th, announced to everyone in the room with me that I thought there was no way in hell any judge had it as close as I did. I was a bit drunk, but I admit, I was probably looking for rounds to give to Winky, and three was the best I could muster. :smoke
I'm not giving you ****, I'm just telling it like it is. Like I told you the other day, I really smelled a Hatton-Tszyu type vibe about this fight - great fighter who'd been inactive, going up against relatively unproven up and comer. Winky could still beat some second tier guys, but he's gonna fall short if he goes to the top level. Like Ray Arcel used to say "you can't beat Father Time." Oh, and I'm not really a Margo fan - just someone who hated the lynch mob mentality that happened after the fight. And why would I care about the Patriots, I'm a JETS fan!!! atsch
Well, I think Winky still has something. I figured if Winky lost it would be because he had nothing left, but I do not believe that was the case. Williams was better than I gave him credit for. :good
As you know I said Williams would win and I saw it the same as you only I gave Winky 1,4 and 5. He landed the more effective punches in those rounds. Nothing pisses me off more than judges that score volume and I try to avoid falling into that myself. What surprised me is Byrd's card, she had Hops beating Joe, yet she didn't find one round to give Wink?:think Her cards always seem to be ****ed.
