The last fight from the US that I remember they showed on S1, all the way through, was Hopkins/Calzaghe. That was a year ago. Calzaghe v Jones cut out after 3 rounds....
Yup read th BBC article, no chance of it being on TV now, ****ing ******* mother****ing ****s, ****ing Thatcher, I don't know need to blame someone......
and how good will this stream be compared to the illegal once, and can't an illegal streaming guy just steal it with so much more ease now?
thats what I was wondering becuase its normally off someones tv and then through their computer can they do it live with a stream of a stream hopefully
I wish freeview viewers would stop blaming setanta for what is a technical issue with freeview that their allocated channel shuts down on them in the early hours. Its fook all to do with setanta, its the channel slot they've been given. Yes it sucks but if I was in your position I'd look for a constructive way to sort it out rather than moan on here every time there is any kind of TV thread.
i've got no problems with setanta. if they weren't around i doubt anyone else would have picked up fights like jmm - diaz, bradley - holt etc. although i'm not sure there is enough on at the moment to warrant my subscription. i might cancel after the haye fight in june.
Froch gives his all and £10 will be great value if he gives us another gutsy fight of the year. Plus it goes in his pocket and he's not getting that much for the fight as it is i read.
You'd be singing a different tune if it was you. Paying the same price for a lesser services is diabolical customer services. And don't give me this crap about allocation in hours, for 2 fights I believe Calzaghe-Hopkins was one of them they changed viewing channel to channel 36 as opposed to 34. All we had to do was change from one channel to another at 3am and we recieved 3 hours extra viewing, thus, the problem was solved.
And Setanta had to pay a considerable fee to top up tv for the privilege of using their channel for that time. If you think freeview viewers would be willing to stump up extra for the extra hours of broadcasting, email Setanta and tell them. Clearly, at the moment, they don't think it is viable for them to do that on a regular basis.
Oh yes, we stump up extra for the same 'privilege' the satellite customers enjoy  That makes sense. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time, I cancelled Setanta due to this so it doesn't really concern me anymore :good
Of course it makes sense. If the costs are more, then obviously the price is more also. The money would have to come from somewhere. The alternative would be spreading the costs over the customer base - in other words satellite subscribers would be subsidising those on freeview. That's hardly justifiable.
In other words freeview viewers would be just as well signing up to sky tv? Therefore, everyone is forced to pay extra and the multinational companies win yet again. Excellent! Just like football and the champions league, sky have bought pretty much all rights to this competition so if you want to see it your forced to pay for it. Once everyone does sign up to it, I wonder what the next rip off plan of action shall be. PPV on every single ****ing programme?
