The only WW worth mentioning right now is Mosley and even now Mosley is better off having a rematch with Cotto and the winner of that one should be the best choice. Other than that I don't see any "real" welterweights worth mentioning.

that's how I feel. I didn't like it when he "retired" cause he left the fans hanging with endless possibilities of megafights to help revive the sport. He should redeem himself and give back to the fans....otherwise I don't want him making any noise with rumors and false hope.

Think we will find out soon. I just don't think Mayweather will allow the negotiations to break down for weight if he knows he can make the weight, it's not like Marquez will be a threat in my opinion, even at 140 Mayweather will be the bigger man.

You have to remember though, it's always easier for a fighter to move up than a fighter moving down.

I don't think Floyd would still fight below 147, but I hope this fight happens. I really do. It would be a quality fight.

Yeah that can be annoying to all fans though when he retired I don't remember any fight that could have been considered a megafight. Only reason he's returning now is because of Manny Pacquiao, nothing else. Back then Pac was way down in weight and there literally no "mega" names worth mentioning and I couldn't really blame him for retiring. His return now seems logical to me at least.

Cotto's booked now so Sugar Shane v Money Mayweather?
Much better prospect than Mayweather v Marquez IMO

I would like that fight too, only difference is Marquez showed interest in the fight more and his team officially contacted Mayweather's about it. Don't forget that both Marquez and Mosley are with GBP.

unfortunatelly JMM doesnt have a prayer in this fight,he had trouble with a past his prime Casa how is he going to beat a slicker, faster and bigger fighter like Mayweather.

Mayweather should fight either Mosley or Cotto anyone other than those two will be cherrypicking at his best.

I think for the fight to be competitive it will have to be at 140.Manuel struggled with baby bull and casamayor at light weight.Maybe the layoff has hurt the man but I doubt it.He's coming off a big win.
Sadly I think Marquez will take the fight no matter weight.

I only want to see floyd return if he fights away from his own country.
Other than that I don't care.

JMM will follow pac even at heavyweight but not floyd. That's because he knows he doesn't have any chance in hell beating floyd. :deal

He's the one calling floyd and but he expect floyd to reach down to him? who the **** is he? :yep

the purse will be like 20/80 split.

It should be at 140 or 143 or something like that. If floyd is fighting at welter it should be guys like Cotto etc. Not JMM. That would take credit away from the win. Look what happened with Hatton. Plus JMM has had a brief stay at LIGHTWEIGHT.
