I watched the banks fight, the briggs fight and the cunningham fight............ I saw the same thing. Banks outboxed Adamek for 4 rounds before he turned it on. Cunningham outboxed him throughout majority of the fight minus the knockdowns. Briggs was a tug of war battle. He fought the same god damn way. He was slow b/c he is slow. He was aggresive with Dawson coming forward looking for his shots as he usually does. He just got caught with right hooks before he could get off. Let alone ate lead lefts and right hooks to the body. He was the same damn fighter fighting the same damn style. The ony time he opened up that whoop ass was against a zombie Bell.
So it goes. Not all of us can be fans of guys coming off of big wins. When we are loyal the agony of defeat will come around.Bandwagoneers such as yourself wouldnt know though:goodshh before a fight and blah blah after someone loses. So many special people on these forums im envious:|
Just like fans that overinflate the abilities of their limited heroes. Talk about special folk on this forum...none come close than the regurgitated Klitites and Adamites.
the scorecards are right, it was very one-sided. 10-2 in favor of Dawson, Adamek got rounds 10&11, 12 was pretty close, Dawson dominated rounds 1~9.
For starters, he doesn't get clocked as often as he used to at CW, largely because he began using more angles in his attack. So his footwork has gotten better. He has also become more patient, waiting for his oppurtunities rather than just blindly coming forward and attacking all the time. He has become more intelligent in the ring, by adapting to what his opponents present and more flexible in changing his game plan. Counter intuitatively, his chin seems slightly stronger at CW than at the former division. Those are substantial improvements. Adamek basically provided Chad with a fast track to becoming a champion, by giving him a shot when there were more profitable and easier fights on the table. He was also experiencing adversity at this time, both with his coach and weight issues. Chad should reciprocate and rematch Adamek at CW. I would pay to see this and so would many others. Paradoxically, Adamek has become more popular than Chad since their last fight, which is an indication of which fighter has done more in the ring.
Everything you said he did the same at light heavy. Adamek took Dawson lightly and Dawson was a 168 pound fighter taking HIS FIRST FIGHT AT LIGHTHEAVY and defeated him. I thought Dawson was too green and not strong enough to handle Adamek when the fight was originally made. Chad is the one that took the risk, not no ****ing Adamek. See, thats that little tidbit you fail to leave out. That not only did Dawson beat the breaks off of him, but he beat the brakes of the naturally bigger man at his OWN weight. Dawson is not even hardly a cruiser weight although he is tall, why would he rematch a guy 25 pounds over his walk around weight?
No it wasnt and as far as taking risks Adamek had another 9 months before he had to face Chad but took the fight early.Something you dont give Adamek credit for is taking on tough title defenses. No doubt had Adamek defended against some of the guys Chad defended against he would have been champ for longer but took on top 10 opponents in all of his defenses.
I think a rematch at crw is the only way to settle this once and for all...lol but seriously, both guys are looking for a name opponent and arent having much luck.Solution....have a rematch. If Chad is willing to go up in weight and Adamek has stated he would like rematch at 200,this would be the best fight at for both.Chad would have another belt at a higher weight and Adamek could revenge his only loss.Plus the biggest winners could be the fans so lets make it happen!
