Also, it looked like Winky's guard wasn't as tight as before. Maybe that's simply due to ring rust and next fight, his guard will be tighter. Or maybe it was PW opening up that guard because he was throwing from so many angles.
I don't think that version of Winky was a shot fighter, but he did look like an inactive fighter. It's difficult for anyone to basically be out of boxing for 2 years and to jump in to a fight with a young, tough guy like Paul Williams. Wink should have taken a tune up before fighting Paul Williams. I hope the Winkman takes this loss simply for what it is...a young active fighter simply outworking an older inactive boxer with little or no power.
His legs were shot from round 1.His defense altough overwhelmed was sloppier.Basically couldn't adjust, couldn't do anything. He might beat someone at MW who would count but I don't know.....
Manny Steward wa sall over Winky's balls. Are you telling me that he was more determined than with Mosley the first time?
his timing was a bit off, and he was slightly slower, however, I thought that if Winky would of looked as good as he did that he would have outpointed Williams...
im just quoting what he said.... you would have to ask him that question... to me he looked good and i think would be a threat to anyone in 154-160.... paul style is just not good for him
We''ll have to see as he said he will continue. That being said he looked dreadfull and was huffing after 2 rounds.
you see most of these defensive fighters they get old slowly. Even if they are physically shot, the defense and the discipline is still there and would able them to still beat many top fighters. Hopkins for example
He was able to walk PW down. It's just that the guy he was walking down threw almost 100 punches a round from all different angles.
