Jermain Taylor vs Kessler

Hey Jinx -- these are the exact reasons people gave for JT beating Pavlik. Taylor/Kessler is a great fight, and one I hope we get to see, but your logic is flawed my man.

What on earth is Kessler doing man? Haven't heard a squeak out of the guy for months.

Kessler will be like Winky by the time he gets another significant fight. How long since he fought JC? This "layoff" is hurting Kessler.

Last I heard the winner of this fight has eyes on Kessler and Kessler would be expecting the winner.

 

Kessler career is over unless he gets a new promoter.

 

Is there any movement on the legal situation with Palle? I'd check myself, but Danish is much too tough for me.

 

When a name-American grows the balls to face Kessler then I'll be impressed.

In other words - and as we can see in this tread: Taylor plays the game "Kessler is damn good, let's try to ignore him and fight everyone else we can get our hands on, then we can only hope that our fans are dumb enough to think we can get past Kessler without meeting him... fingers crossed".

The bottom line is - and as we can see in this tread - that the strategy is very unlikely to work. By far the majority of fans know Kessler is the fighter to beat and Taylor can beat all the rest but he will still have to meet Kessle if he wants to claim no. 1 position.
