This is an interesting fight though it seems that they can't agree on the weight that they will fight. At what weight do you think they should fight?
They should fight at 135. Mayweather has no belt right now and it is still possible for him to drop down to 135. And asking JMM to fight at 147 is too much. Mayweather will definitely kill JMM at that weight.
140 lbs, PBF should have absolutely no problem getting to that weight. Many people will really think less of him if he keeps pressing for a fight at 147, which is bollocks for JMM to climb up that high. Even 142 might still be reasonable.
Come on Floyd hasn't fought at 135 in six years.. Why the hell would you think such a drop is possible. Huh? Look Marquez is the one who called out Mayweather in the first place. How bad does he really want the fight? Not that bad obviously. He wasn't even asking for the fight so why the **** should he do a catchweight? Let Floyd weigh in as the natural WW he is. He isn't a big WW but he has always walked around about 5 pounds above the weight class he fights at. For WrestleMania he weighed in just under 160 in street clothes. Asking Floyd to come in lower than the WW division puts him at a disadvantage. He won't be at his best. Period. He only weighed in at 150 against DLH and has been fighting at WW since late 2005. 135 is a joke.. Right?
Why do you think this? He hasn't had to weigh in that low in 4 years and you think he can do it with "absolutely no problems"? Please. He isn't like Gatti, Hatton or Margarito. The man couldn't go 15 pounds above his natural weight class if he tried. So asking him to weaken himself and drop down to a weight he hasn't in years, including coming off a two year layoff, is ridiculous. Any lower than 147 and he'll be just as weak as DLH was against Pacman. DLH shouldn't have been fighting any lower than 154 because in his mid 30's, 154 was a healthy fighting weight for him. Floyd is now 32 and it's not as easy as many of you think it would be. Especially for the type of fighter who stays weighs in close to there weight class while inactive. Asking to drop down past there weight class is only going to weaken this type of fighter.
pbf would be at a disadvantage if it is 140.. he is coming from a long lay off and would trim down to 140...no way

Why do I think Floyd can make 140? Because thats his natural weight. He has been coming in at 146-147 on fight night for almost all of his fights at 147, he basically doesn't cut off any weight, how can he not make 140? is the proper question.
