I've been trying to get into mma and I find it difficult mainly because of I dont seem to have an appreciation for the 'ground game'. Seeing Gina Carano :yep made me want to try again haha. Seriously though I'm gonna watch ufc 97 this weekend and try again. Was just wondering how many of you out there like or dislike mma?

dont force it bro. if it wasnt meant to be, it wasnt meant to be. plus, ginas huge in real life. a reeeeeeeal soft on from the moment you realize it.
Has any body used kung fu in MMA or any extreme martial art..or is it even allowed in the first place?
MMA aint for me, its all bit crude, whilst i appreciate they are superb athletes, i get the impression the fighters are lacking in the fudemental skills of any one true art form, i.e boxing.... i enjoy some of the fights, but it bores me very quickly.
when ufc first came out, they had all disciplines of martial arts. kung fu, unfortunately, was found to not be as effective a style as what you see now. dry humping and fingerbanging.
kung fu is more of a showy type of martial art, not all that practical. i like mma and boxing, but i did wrestle in high school, so i suppose i have some appreciation for the ground game.
Really tried but all the holding and rolling on the ground is very boring. My dad also loves boxing but can't stand watching MMA, and he's tried too.
I just cant get into MMA either. The ground game may very well take skill to do but so does artexing and I wouldnt sit and watch that all night either lol
I can't get beyond the idea that you are able within the rules to brutalise a man when you have knocked him to the ground...no wonder kids these days are ****ed up in the head when they see actions like this as acceptable behaviour
