which fighters and fights do you think demonstrate inside fighting best, i'm working alot on inside fighting at the moment and wanted to watch some great examples

Obviously Duran Leonard 1 is the obvious one but what other fights and fighters also im not just looking for the offence on the inside but also defensive inside fighing

I think Lennox Lewis was brilliant defensively on the inside. He new how to use his weight and height. Especially see Tyson, he almost turns offence into defence with the leaning in that one. He actually drops mike with a "lean"!

Check out Locche against Fuji. Locche makes Fuji miss all over the shop despite the fact they are chest to chest, it is near hypnotising.

Not to toot my boy's horn (haha McGrain yeah that sounded gay, get it out of your system now), but Whitaker was one of the best examples of a well rounded inside technician. Watch his fight with Harold Brazier for a prime example.

When I ever get the recorder back, I can fit it some were perhaps.
    Its been a week now.

I only got 20 mins, but its round hightlights. Pretty neat. You get a good ideal of the flow.

Ross took the early rounds, than Armstrong took over about the 5 or 6th round, and gave Ross a whipping.

Probably not a great example but for a recent fight that I'm sure you've already seen there's Skelton-Rogan.

As I said by no means the best example, but towards the latter rounds Rogan uses his weight and physical strength extremely well to wear down a physically tough guy in Skelton, and stops Skelton being able to throw will creating angles and opportunities to land at will with the short right hand and left hook. He also works the body well on the inside.

Lewis was a good call from McGrain. As he said he was very good defensively and the prime example of using weight and physical strength to your advantage defensively. He also had a mean uppercut on the inside, as is demostrated in Lewis-Klitschko in particular.

Ah okay. Yeah I know I didn't watch it originally, thought you might of caught the repeat on Channel 5 a week or so afterwards.

It should be around on youtube anyway, although there are better examples to study first.

For a look at negating an pressure fighter on the inside, PBF's win over Hatton was a master class.

Used the elbow a lot though and was given a lot of help from Joe Cortez. The main stuff that can be taken from this fight is the supremely accurate counter punching while in the pocket, as opposed to true inside fighting.
