Not sure he would have won, but I highly doubt he would have been ko'd, and it would have been much more competetive. Cortez seemed like he wanted Hatton to just stand and box with Floyd, a fight hatton will never win

How many times did cortez actually break them when hatton was actual doing some work on the inside, very few, he broke them when it became a wrestling match like he should do.

i think it was in the 4th round they go toe to toe for a full minute cortez didn't break them as both where looking to throw punches and actually fight, cortez was not that bad in the fight and another referee would have made next to no difference

Yes hatton is more of a inside fighter which cortez did not allow him to do.
Now roger has made him more of a boxer which is a good thing.

No Mayweather was 2 levels above Hatton that night. Nd even if Hatton was left work on the inside as musch as he wanted Mayweather would of still KOd him in my opinion. Hatton is not on Mayweathers level people should just get over it and so should Hatton.

What would of changed? Floyd was outboxing with distance between them, and roughing him up on the inside as well. I never understood this excuse. What does Hatton and his fans think would've helped? Hatton even complained about Mayweathers "rough house" tactics on the inside after the fight. I knew going into that fight that Floyd was not only the tougher inside fighter, but much more craftier with his elbows and forearms in there as well. I knew that when Hatton tried to hit and hold he was gonna eat forearm, and he did.

So if Cortez would have let him foul, hold, and basically mug Floyd, he would have had a better chance?

Doesnt say much for Ricky's boxing ability! Maybe he belongs in the MMA?

No. i would have been a better fight. hatton would have lost on points. Cortez made hatton lose his cool and discipline.

if dave parris wasn't the ref on that night back in 2005 would wicky have beaten kostya? hatton fans need to stfu. floyd schools wicky in wicky's lounge with ray hatton as ref and his mum as one of the judges.

I actually felt Hatton was more effective in the brief periods that he was actually boxing, rather than trying to kill Mayweather.

i dont know why ppl keep blaming Cortez, its not his fault and its not like Ricky Hatton didnt know how cortez worked he did have him as his ref in the Castillo fight. I just think rickys fans and him self are looking for an excuse for a fight they lost . It wasnt the refs fault it was just that pbf had the juice to take you out thats the facts of life theres always a better mofo to take yo ass to china town.
