You're probably right. Barrett has beaten a lot of up and comers before, he's more a fringe contender...at one point, Barrett was definitely a top ten guy...before losing to Rahman. Barrett has some good victories over guys like Beck, Guinn, and Fields.
You've hit just about all the key guys I could think of, except maybe Mike Dixon, Marion Wilson, and that muscle bound guy who knocked out Douglas after the bell (can't think of his name right now, but he fought a who's who of HWs in the 90s, and lost about every time. I think he beat McBride, though). Personally, I'd also go with Bert Cooper. I'm old enough to remember when Cooper was a somewhat touted PROSPECT!
Bert Cooper was good enough to be a prospect. I loved that Joe Frazieresque style he had. He came bombs away in most fights. His fight with Holyfield and Mercer are two of the best HW fights in recent memory. But Bert IMO laid down in a few fights. Notably against Bowe and Foreman. He definitely had off nights as well.
THe guy that was in the conversation before by Zakman was an old sparring partner i used to get for my Heavyweight Friday Ahunanya.. his name is Louis Monaco.. from Colorado... he is a very strong man , he hits like a truck.. he actually beat Mike Dokes, Knocked Buster out and gave Kev Mcbride his first loss on the Mccall v Lennox card at the Hilton Las Vegas.............
Bert Cooper one of my all-time fav fighter's to watch. His fight with Evander in Atlanta was why Cooper was dangerous. (He had great power & was always looked passed by his opponents) + His Tyson body uppercut combo he had, Was Smokin'. Fav today, as much as it pains me to say it, prob James Toney. It's hard to associate the word Journeyman with a HOF fighter such as Toney but his time is running short & it don't look like anyone if going to ever give him a shot again, So he is just hanging around right now on a journey.
