Again, more gun-ho posters not "getting it".

We ALL respect the fact Pac did to DLH what no one and not even close expected. As knowledgeable and passionate fans though, we also recognize that Oscar was in no condition to fight, so to say "Manny just beat a good version of De La Hoya" is exactly what it sounds like...a lie.

Yes this is the truth Scar~

However lets not get carried away with it, Manny did have a bit of help looking as good as he did, though he did do his job, you can not deny the facts that his own trainer have presented, we didnt bring these facts into it, Roach himself did.

I do give credit yes, but I wont go as far as to say well Manny stopped Oscar that means he will beat Mayweather, and that is where all this will lead if you continue to give the *******s the ammo they are looking for......

yes. I think if you take the Oscar that fought a shot Julio Cesar Chavez and put him in against the Pac that fought a shot Oscar de la Hoya, Pac wins. Put your drink down, light up a joint, take your time and read it again. Styles make fights and Oscar arguably lost against a totally shot Whitaker. The man cannot handle southpaws and especially the ones who make him come forwards.

You bring up whitaker cus he was a south paw, but you fail to admit Whitaker was a defensive wizard he made a career out of making you miss, Pacquiao can not say the same thing, he is there to be hit, and would get murdered by a prime DLH you need to stop smoking them Joints cus obviously its not doing you any favors.

I'm not buying into the hype. I've been arguing with people who underrate Pac since he beat Barrera.

Back in 2007 everyone thought i was an idiot cause i said Pac could beat Juan Diaz.

I'm not saying Pac would beat SRR, Leonard, Hearns, and Duran here. I'm talking about Oscar de la Hoya. The guy who shot or not lost every single round to Pac last December. The guy who Mosley moved up 2 weightclass in one shot and still handed him an L

And btw I saw your excuses about the Barrera and Morales wins. Just so you know Pac has been in a ton of wars, maybe even more than MAB and EM, so maybe you should say he's past it as well.

If you think Pacquiao is there to be hit then we're not watching the same fighter.

exactly, before the fight everyone was riding Oscar for picking on a smaller guy and how he picked a fight he could win

Even if Oscar was washed up a little, all of us thought he would do better than he did. I think he had enough left to put on a better fight than he did.

what pisses me off is that there are a ton of people who claim to respect Pacquiao as a fighter but who are just waiting on the edge of their seat for him to lose so that they can gloat about how he was never that good to begin with. What these haters don't understand is that Pacquiao's legacy is signed and sealed. He has already surpassed other greats like Barrera, JMM, Oscar, and Tito.

I know that the day will come when PAc will meet his match, which is inevitable when you constantly face big challenges the way he has. But it just bothers me that certain people will rejoice when that day comes not to praise the fighter that beat him but to **** all over Pac and what he has accomplished. However i'm convinced that these very same people will look back in 10-15 years and say damn that was a special fighter.

Oscar has been a part time fighter for some time now. He is a business man.

So what if its 2 years? He was on a streak coming off wins Hamed, Ayala, Tapia, Morales, Kelley, Pac destroyed that streak and after that MAB came back on another streak. Would you say his prime was when he was beaten by JJ? Barrera hadnt gone that 26 rounds with morales yet in 2003, MAB gave his most convincing victory over Morales AFTER pac destroyed him. The MAB that fought Morales 3rd time was as good as any. And of course a 122lb MAB is gonna look far different from a 130lb MAB...its the same with any fighter moving up. The fact that MAB was p4p #3, was beating top fighters before Pac got to him, carried on to beat top fighters afterwards and 5 years later even went on to give JMM a very good fight just shows that MAB was damm good in 2003. Shot? :rofl You dont even know the meaning of the word. Only a fool would claim it so...very convenient as always.

As for Morales, we acknowledge he was past prime but no where near shot. On the 2nd fight, Morales was an elite fighter. To date, the 2nd Morales fight is probably Pac's toughest fight outside JMM, infact he probably took more punches from Morales in those 9 rounds than he did off JMM on each of their 12 round fights. Morales put up a hell of a fight, until Pac got him in the 6th...no shot fighter can perform that well.

For the record, you keep bringing up wars. Both Morales & MAB was 29, Pac is 30 and has moved up to WW. A guy who relies on speed, power & explosiveness at a much higher weight and older being called to be in his prime is making no excuses of being shot. And he has gone 2 fights with JMM, 2 with MAB, 3 with Morales and has been boxing professionally since 16 with a gung ho style.

You can say its all about agenda but all these shot excuses are all too convenient..and their always shot after the fight
