JTs most credible wins were against BHOP.
    BHOP was 39.

Calzaghes best win was vs a 43 yr OLD B HOP.

    Whos was the better win?

Considering Taylor was inexperienced in comparison to Calzaghe I would say that his ranks higher, I also beleive Taylor beat an obviously fresher BHOP, 4 years is a big GAP at such an advanced stage.

I think its 2 fights that BHOP adopted a very cautious negative strategy as he did most fights post Trinidad, cost him dearly.

calzaghe's win is better...look at the odds between pavlik-hopkins...it's 3-1 going 4-1...that's bec bhop is almost done in the last 4 rounds in the calzaghe fight

I thought Calzgahe won 114-113 (though i ddidnt see many clean punches landed) I thought joe deserved it because Hopkins was gased in the last 4-5 rnds....43 years caught up with him. Hopkins was obviously the betetr skilled/ techincally sound fighter against JOE...but it happens to everyoen AGe is a killer.

I thought JT won the 1st and lost the 2nd.

I think we saw a completely different mentality from hopkins in the PAvlik fight, as if he knew he screwed himself in losign close fights to JOE and JT, he wasnt going to let that happen again.

Manny Steward said before the fight "Bernard said hes going back to his old Philly Style of fighting".

i think the odds had more to do with b-hop being 43 and pavlik being the 27 year old ko machine middleweight champ

He didn't gas. Quit bullshitting. Did he look gassed against Pavlik in the last 4 or 5 rounds? Even when he was on the offensive and working a lot harder and throwing more punches than he did in the JC fight?

No, he didn't. Did he look gassed against Winky the fight before? No, he didn't, and his work-rate was excellent in that fight.

The fact is Joe Calzaghe is an extremely adaptable fighter, he ****ed up badly in the first round, he struggled the next 3 or so but began to turn the tide, and by the mid-point of the fight he'd changed his gameplan and began to take a hold of the fight.

Hopkins was 'only' 39, nearer to his prime, undefeated in 12years and Taylor beat him which imo Calzaghe didn't, Hopkins was also inactive when Joe faced him

Taylor's for a number of reasons, not least of which is that he didn't run from a rematch.

There is a strong argument the only fight Bernard lost was his 1st ever pro fight at Cruiser and his fight witht Jones

Calzaghes win was more impressive because he went to the states for the first time, and moved up in weight for the first time in a division where B-Hop has earned some impressive wins in his previous fights. Calzaghe had also probably faded a little himself when he beat him, unlike Taylor who was in him prime

but if the calzaghe fight had been an 8 rounder, i bet the odds would be almost even...calzaghe's performance was huge that time that it cause the betters to pick pavlik to win...they feel that bhop was really shot and bhop proved them wrong

Hopkins was way past his best he just fought with more urgency and nothing to lose attitude....if he adopted that against Joe he would have won no doubt
