Who would give paul williams the most trouble up too 160?

    Im going to say Kelly Pavlik all day! I would love to see this fight, because we all know Kelly can take a punch. Also his height and reach would at least close the gap against Paul Williams. This could be fight of the year! Both in their primes and trying to go down as the best.

    Lots of MW's would trouble him because he's not a MW for me. He'd be a small MW. I think 154 is his best division.

    I think Sugar and Cotto would both give him serious trouble.

    I think they both get worked over by the Punisher, especially Cotto.

    Cotto's too short and too calculated. He times every punch. PW's will overwhelm almost all of the welters. I see Mayweather giving him the most hell. Thats if he still have the same reflexes as in the younger days.

    Paul Williams says he wants his title back(the vacated one that Cotto beat up some C level fighter to attain). If Cotto gets past Clottey, he can take a tuneup fight in the fall and then fight Williams early next year. I wonder if Top Rank will be up for that?

    There are a couple of things about Williams.

    1 - He's never beaten anybody at the top of the p4p tree. Until he does that, there's always going to be doubt.

    2 - He's been badly troubled by a guy who is NOT at the top of the p4p tree. Emphatically avenged, but never to be undone.

    Williams has plenty to prove IMO, and I'd expect any elite to extend him, frankly.
