For Wladimir Klitschko to rank in the top 20 heavyweights of all time

I think he can beat Wlad too. I think any fighter who can take a little fire and get inside can beat Wlad. Trick is to get inside and take him out his comfort zone. He falls apart if you can do that. A fighter has to have a good chin though, because Wlad has very quick hands for a big guy so hes very good at staying in that comfort zone he needs to be in to be successful. Brewster, Sanders both took it to Wlad early and once they got too him, he was on the defensive and a sitting duck. Hes improved by learning to hold on the inside, but you have to fight Wlad, Haye will not win a boxing contest.

 

He suffers from the same disease that effected other excellent heavyweights like Tunney and Charles. He has compiled and excellent record but he's too cautious and dull. He will never be remembered with the likes of the Dempsey's, Louis', Marciano's, Holyfield's (although the Real Deal is tarnishing his legacy by hanging around too long).

 

Indeed. I just recently got to see the early career of Wladimir, and I really can't say how ready he was for Lewis, but if I were betting I'd put money down on Lennox. I don't blame Lennox for not fighting Wladimir, but I will never forgive him for retiring after what was one of the most exciting and beautiful heavyweight fights since the Dempsey era.

 

Emotionally this makes sense, logically it doesn't. Lewis was finished and he knew it. Too bad though because a rematch would have been the most exciting fight in decades, but rather than critise Lewis better to appreciate the fight that occurred. He's the one that turned it into a brawl because in his mind that was the strategy to win. Lewis is nothing if not a great boxing strategist.

 

Lewis predicted Sanders would beat Wlad, he said he would have to come out and be very aggressive.
I can't see Haye beating Wlad though I just don't thing he is good enough to put it bluntly, I see Povetkin being a very hard fight for Wlad and hope that this fight happens.

 

Not on the evidence of Povetkin's last fight - he was horrible!

I think Haye can beat Wlad, but I think coming up against a confident challenger willing to have a real go will bring out the best in Wlad and we will see a mid-round stoppage.

 

He already belongs there.
