Could Hatton won his fight with Mayweather if the referee was not Joe cortez?

Hell no. Hatton was allowed to do his thing, if he had fought at distance the fight would have ended sooner.

I think he still would have got knocked out. Hatton did no better in the free flowing parts of the fight. Actually that's when Floyd started wailing on him. Hatton needed to get floyd stuck on the ropes and land a bodyshot. But Hatton wasn't getting floyd stuck anywhere cause Floyd would just change the angle whenever Hatton came charging in.

The thing that affected Hatton the most seemed to be the point being taken off. Billy Grahme told him after rnd 5 that he was two points behing and he started fighting like a reckless idiot.

It seems that hatton is a front runner that doesnt know what to do do when he gets behind. He self imploded.

Bottom line is either he would have got stopped or lost a lopsided UD either way.

No argument that Mayweather fought very well on the inside but Cortez was breaking the fighters very early, even before a clinch in some cases. It def didn't suit what Hatton wanted to do with trying to rough up Mayweather and knock him out of his stride, not just with bodyshots but with stready pressure.

Cortez was helping Mayweather, took a point away from Hatton for hitting the ring rope! Cortez did not want Hatton to fight on the inside.

I just want to see a level playing field. Mayweather may have beated Hatton without Cortez' help, but that does not excuse Cortez for doing what he did.

Seriously NO.. Even if the fight was held at RICKY's backyard, had his 1st cousin as the ref, and all judges his financial/legal counsel.

Its intelligent because as usual theres a myth that surrounds Ricky. He's fans only debate conjecture and on that basis alone they actually believe there point to be valid. What is apparent is Floyd put on a clinic whereby Hatton was only competitive for but a few rounds. The rest he lost handily and widely and was subsequently KO'ed. How you manage to draw an alternative scenario from that is beyond me. They fought. They result is plain as day. You may as well argue the semantics of Hatton bringing an AK47 to the ring for what its worth.
