Obviously every fighter on the poll list was or is a good world class fighter.

Dont get me wrong they are all top world class fighters

But which one is the most overrated from the list?

Which one was lucky to build the career that has held him in such high esteem?

Which one is the fighter that you suspect could be most easily exposed if in a real tough fight against a geunine skilled fighter opposing him.

Which modern day British fighter do you believe has been overrated that they are lucky to be on the list as ATG Modern day British fighters?

Ricky Hatton from that list, although that will change if he beats Pacquiao and Haye loses to Klitschko.

I think Calzaghe is a very good fighter, who had a very good career, but in my mind he is a fraud becuase he was never as good as many of his fans claim him to be, he was no Roy Jones Jr. He was just an opportunist, who did everything he could to preserve his precious '0' and fool so many people into thinking he was a great fighter, instead of just a very good one.

That said, I am a fan of Haye, but if Wlad destroys him, then 'fraud' might be the right word to describe Haye as well.

None of them are close to being frauds. It's just a crappy and negative way to look at boxing.

None of them are frauds :patsch

Maybe I probaly used the wrong word :patsch

And yes you could say that it is a "crappy negative way to look at boxing"

But I thought it would be a intresting debate

As my orginal post clearly stated that they are all top fighters:deal

No, 'fraud' is the right word, it just has negative connotations. You can be a very good fighter, and have a very good career, but if you're considered great, and not just very good, then you're a fraud in my book.

That's exactly what Calzaghe is. A very good fighter, who had a very good career, but is now considerd by some to be 'great', that's the epitome of a fraud.

It would be different if you were asking "who is the biggest bum?", because that wouldn't be an appropriate question or term.

I kind of agree with your post Hoya

I tried to make it clear in my orginal post for people to try and understand what I was trying to say

But some people have misunderstood me

I'm not slagging any of these fighters off

I'm tryng to ask - who is least deserving of his place as a British Boxing Icon

I wouldn't call any of them a "fraud", if we're weighing achievements vs reputation I'd say the most undeserved tilt is with Calzaghe.
