    Mosley and De La Hoya have been adversaries since childhood. The East L.A. boxer was seven and the Pomona boxer nine when they first met in the ring as amateurs. They fought two close and sizzling battles yet here they are friends and working for the same goal in the same company.

    “Oscar De La Hoya is the best fighter I ever fought,” said Mosley who battled against many of the best in the last 15 years. “His left hand is one of the sharpest punches I’ve ever face. He could do so much with it.”

    Mosley thinks that when De La Hoya changed his boxing style when Floyd Mayweather Sr. came aboard, he lost something.

    “He was a much better fighter when he fought straight up and he was on his toes,” said Mosley.

    I agree 100%. Watch the Alcazar fights and then watch the Gatti and Vargas fights. Oscar is getting tagged for no reason, employing useless defensive techniques. I really believe that both Gatti and Vargas would have been ko'd much earlier under Oscar's old style.

    Could be true... maybe mayweather tried to make oscar a fight he isnt

    In order for Sr. to be a good trainer he must have a boxer that fits his techniquesa nd strngths.
    Like a Joan Guzman.

    I agree with Shane, but then again with Sr in his corner he did give Mosley a tougher fight.

    Why did De la hoya fire Alcazar?

    I guess maybe Roach might be a little right about Mayweather.

    they got into a fight oscer felt he was getting hit too much honeslty i dont agree with Shane because Oscar did fight better vs him with Sr and for the most part he beat the living **** outta varga better than tito

    I think Mosley is wrong. imo ODLH lost something when he got completely out of shape after his second loss to Mosley.

    SSM should know. FMSr has always made fighters fit into his prefab defense-oreinted model first, rather than refinining and honing what his fighters already got. Which seemed to lessen Oscar's earlier lethality.

    With Alcazar DLH's style was more prone to being KD (flash). The FMS style for DLH suited the aging DLH better because it required LESS energy spent.

    Nah I think that Oscar just didn't have the balance early in his career while he was with Alcazar.

    its hard to agree with Mosley considering that Oscar did so much better against Shane in their rematch, Perhaps he is talking about the Zip in his shots and the difference between fight 1 and fight 2 However in fight 2 if DLH didnt seem to hit as hard as the first perhaps that had something to do with The steroids shane was on?
