:patschDUDE you are REALLY on this man's nutsack.:patsch Let me break it down for ya.

    Among DLH's biggest wins:
Vargas (Tito had already ****ed him up REAL bad)
Mayorga (Tito had already ****ed him up REAL bad)
    Camacho (3 years AFTER Tito)
Yori Boy Campus (see Vargas, Mayorga, and Camacho)

This guy is THE most overrated fighter in YEARS.....

QUITS against Hopkins and MAGICALLY their promoting fights TOGETHER 2 weeks later:bart

Picks fights against MUCH smaller men, get's his ass handed to him and says "I fight the best." -

So did Emmanual Augustus, and they BOTH lost to the best they fought.

This guy has 1 win in 10 YEARS over a PEAK fighter (Quartey) and he still parades as "relevant" in terms of fighting ability:deal

    For the record
    1. Tito
    2. Mosley
    3. Oscar De La Hoya (he did lost to them both):yep

I can't believe I'm even bothering to reply to this. You think I need Oscar's career "breaking down" by some illiterate moron who overuses the CAPS LOCK? You think Oscar is overrated, that's fine. Your entitled to your juvenile opinion but there is no reason for me to take it seriously.

Oscar's record speaks for itself, the numerous world titles, the excellent resume and the simple fact he has fought the best of the best for fifteen years at the top of the game. How about we put Oscar's loses into context for a moment. Let's start with the loss to Hopkins for example. Oscar was a former Super-Featherweight, Hopkins is currently a Light-Heavyweight. Oscar had done nothing at 160 other than lose to Felix Sturm, and somehow you think he should have beaten Hopkins. There is no shame in a former Super-Featherweight losing to one of the greatest Middleweight's of all time.

Oscar was clearly robbed against Trinidad, and against Mosley in their second fight (incidentally Mosley has now admitted that he was using performance enhancing steroids at the time). He was ten years past his prime when he fought Pacquaio, not to mention being dehydrated, weight drained and semi-retired. The reality is that Oscar only lost one meaningful fight in, or close to, his prime. And that loss was to a drugged up Mosley.

A fight is meaningless when one fighter has no credible chance of victory. A former Super-Featherweight who had done nothing at Middleweight, fighting against a current Light-Heavyweight was never going to be a winnable fight. So the loss against Hopkins was meaningless because it was entirely expected and unavoidable.

Explain to me how 'The World Awaits' was a meaningful fight? Oscar was a decade past prime and semi-retired at the time. He had nothing left to prove to anyone as his legacy and accomplishment were secure. It was a major sporting event, but in the context of Oscar's boxing career, its a loss that means very little.

I'm assuming that you don't consider the loss to Pacquaio particularly significant or meaningful? Given that Oscar was old and on a losing steak at the end of his career. Not to mention the fact he was a weight drained and dehydrated skeleton.

The only meaningful loss on Oscar's record was against Mosley in their first fight. Oscar was past his prime, and Mosley was on steroids at the time. But that aside, it was a credible, legitimate and clear loss for Oscar.

I don't know why anyone would consider the 2nd fight with Mosley, or the fight with Trinidad as losses. I personally don't need three corrupt judges to tell me who and who did not win a fight. I don't need to be told what to believe, and its perfectly clear to me that Oscar won those fights and was robbed out of the decisions.

I don't understand how Mosley is leading this..Not that there's a big gap between any of these fighters, but Mosley is clearly third for me..

It's crazy. Mosley is a very good fighter, but as you say, a clear third place. The hype surrounding his (overrated) win over Margarito has clearly been very influential. For me its Oscar, very closely followed by Trinidad, and then Mosley in 3rd. It seems some people are voting for which fighter they like the most, rather than why they think is the best.

Agreed. I hate when people vote based on who they like most..While I agree with most that it's close, it's fairly clear as well..

    DLH
    Tito
    Mosley

And it probably won't ever change...unless Mosley or Tito do something spectacular...which isn't very likely

Makes no sense, if DLH would've beat Mayweather he would've been maybe the best fighter of our decade. that fight was meaningful, and dont start coming up with excuses talking about a SFW shouldfnt be fighting JMW or MW, so I guess be are supposed to saty in 1 weight class, or Mayweather had no bussiness fighting DLH at 154. gimme a break.
