I agree with the OP, pressure is not Floyd's weakness. Floyd had troubles in the 1st Castillo fight because all of the intangibles favor Castillo that night.

To beat Floyd you have to have a decent jab and throw it overwhelmingly more than Floyd throws his Jab. Just look at the early going against DLH and Zab, the myth is Floyd adjusted to beat them in the 2nd half when really both fighters just stopped throwing the jab as much as they did earlier.

Vernon Forrest is an interesting style brought up, but Im thinking more of the lines of Cory Spinks.

I think this thread has been lost in translation. Who are the guys who believe that PBF should have took an L against Castillo? This has of yet been mentioned.

Who is Marcino? Do you mean Marciano? Yes, of course he was unbeatable. Im not afraid to say this but the Marcino (Marciano) you are refering to is one of the worst fighters i have seen to be considered a legend.

Interesting, i do agree with what you have said, pressure not being floyd's weakness-he thrives on that as he is in his element as a sharp shooting counter puncher.

However, people tend to look at the DLH and Judah fights as a fight they 'lost' in the second half of the fight as opposed to one PBF 'won'. It is not by coincidence that they both stopped doing what they were doing as a result of being timed with right hand counters.

Cory Spinks is another one, VERY good analytical skills. He DEFINATELY would trouble Mayweather. That fight very nearly happened......

 

I think that a prime DLH or a prime Shane Mosley would beat him. He barely won a split decision against a 35 year old DLH.

Want to talk about what you like in a Forrest-style vs. a PBF-style? I think that discussion may have gotten lost in translation.

Do you REALLY believe in your heart that was a SD? Again, this was a ClEAR victory for Mayweather, scored it 116-112. Max Kellerman even scored it 117-111 which i can see.

This is another 'myth' 'Mayweather barely beat a 35 year old DLH'. Lets look at the intangables:

The ring was cut short to benifit DLH

The weight was at 154lbs-PBF no way belongs at.

DLH was like 168lbs come fight night? PBF was 148lbs LOSING two pounds.

DLH made PBF wear REYES gloves to maximise the chances of PBF suffering injury to his notoriously brittle hands.

 

how did you score it? Admitingly i scoring being so wide does not help and does lead fans to scream robbery.

We can speculate on that all we want, you may have a point and a valid one at that. However, i personally believe a prime DLH would still lose to a Prime PBF at Lightweight (Not at Lightweight but the lightweight Version of PBF). Both were at different weights at their primes. But DLH COMPLETLY struggled with past his prime Sweet pea at 147lbs, what makes you so certain he would handle Mayweather in his prime??
