Kessler would win rather handily. When are we gonna see Mikkel fighting the top guys where he belongs. He's a wasted talent at the moment. He tries and tries to get big fights and is always Stateside calling out opponents, but his management is ****.
Disagree on the TKO, but you are looking at the right part of the fight. I'm telling ya; It's Mikkel Kessler and Kelly Pavlik!!!! There is no way in hell that these guys avoid a jabbing contest.
Nice post but when you referred to Pavlik's chin as "iron" and called Calzaghe "Calslappy" you lose credibility. CALZAGHE hurt kessler with a right hook to the body, one of the few shots Calzaghe throws with his full power during the last few years of his career. So why do you say that it "doesn't bode well for [Kessler's] chin"?
:bart You are entitled to your incorrect opinion, sir. PS...tripped me up with the new avy. lol. For a minute I was about to get "raw" on a mo' fo' then realized it was the respectable (but wrong on this pick) 196.:yep Yo' my man, did you catch any of the post I made about how absolutely awesome Mr. Roy Jones treated all the folks in Youngstown? He impressed me beyond what my vocabulary is capable of describing. At most points I was either 2 or 3 chairs directly behind him, and at intermissions and stuff, he would actually seat himself at the end of a row to make sure any fans that wanted to meet him, get auto g's, or pics could feel free to do so.:good NOW, change your opinion....damn it!! It's important.:yep
Hell with the jabbing contest, this is where I expect the Ghost to do his best work. Super Joe can hit (albeit a little weirdly sometimes), but so can Pavlik. I feel Pavlik can hurt the Danish Super Boxer to that body.:deal
Kessler and Pavlik are very similar figters. Kessler is a bit faster so I think he wins this by decision or late stoppage.
Ah yes. Mr. Kessler is bound to be rusted by the time he gets his next 'real' fight. Experience counts in boxing. Ask Mr. Bhop. Yeah, Kelly lost bad to Bhop, but people are not realizing that his fight with Rubio did show he learned something and was working on that during his fight. People say Mora has a bad style for Kelly because he is 'slick'? Sound like they might be working on something again? Then on to Abraham? If Kelly and Mikkel meet, Kelly will have probably gained the more valuable experience in the mean time and, as I posted earlier, have had time to grow into the weight, this might not be the fight people expect at all right now.
Analytical stuff we do now is actually meanlingless. These two will not meet for quite awhile, if ever. Also, as I have pointed out before, Kessler is a big SMW, and has had some trouble making 168. By the time KP moves up, Kessler may very well be at 175.
