Pretty sure Charlie Zelenoff would have never even won even 1 of those fights , at least Buckley won 32 times.

He is not the worst boxer ever. It has been said that 70 of his losses could have been wins and if that were true his record would be more like:

    100 wins, 180 losses and 12 draws

Plus the fact he has only been stopped 10 times in 300 fights shows that he knew how to hang in there.

If you watch a British fight between a prospect and a journeyman.... the journeyman literally has to SHUT OUT the prospect in order to win - otherwise the ref sees a dodgy 10-10 round and gives the fight 39-38 or 58-57 to the 'prospect'.... who invariably gets KO'd by the 1st good fighter he faces.

On Buckley.... he was the 1st man to take Naseem Hamed the distance.... only six men ever did that, so think before you speak.

Paul Royston is far worse, Boxrec him. Record of 4-30 - never been stopped. Never been hit either.

Hey at least he won 32 times.

Isn't Immortal Eric Crumble like 0-38?

You idiot. Buckley was a journeyman, his job was to give young prospect some rounds and help them gain experience. Plus as others have mentioned that in the UK any close fight goes to the prospect. He was stopped just 10 times in 256 losses, that must tell you something about his defensive skills.

You ****. He is no where near the world's worst boxer. He had a lot of fights with prospects who were given the nod, he could easily have 70-80 wins, at least. He's durable, defensively sound and and comes to fight. He's a journeyman, hence why he has a bad record. Why don't you look at fights and who he has fought instead of looking purely at his win-loss record. Knobhead.

Buckley was a good fighter. He'd get a call at 1pm and be in the ring at 8pm. Do you have any idea how many shows he saved.

Look at his record and see what some of the fighters he was in with went on to do.

Peter Buckley is a legend of British boxing and all round decent bloke.

Next time think before you speak.

The fact Buckley has been KO'd so few times in so many fights should tell you he's not the worst ever by a long way.

Is he ****, what an ignorant arsehole. He's never failed to beat the 10 count and went the distance with a young naseem hamed! He got on the wrong end of most close decisions as he was never the homecard prospect.
