I still don't think it would have KO'd him Hermit. Calzaghe, oddly has been hit with much bigger punches and never went down compared to the one's that put him on his ass. I think it's him coming in off balance as much as anything though he was stunned against Jones but he did keep fighting whether he was or not. I think his chin is probably iron, but he just gets careless at times.
I'm not going to make predictions about a fight that will never happen. I'm just saying that would be Kelly's chance. Boo predicted the flaw. RJJ exploited it but couldn't finish. What is worst for Kelly's opponents is that he doesn't have that one hand power. It is 'stun'n gun'. Lockett was wise to take the knee instead of trying to stay up. I'd guess this was a strategy cooked up by Enzo and had Pavlik/Calzaghe taken place AND had Kelly stunned Joe, he would have probably taken a knee instead of the beating. If not, Pavlik does his normal finish.

Pavlik would still have to actually hit him and the reason Bernard was successful early was LEADING with the right. When has Pavlik ever been able to lead with the right? He has to use his jab to set the shot up and based on history Calzaghe has managed to adapt to any threat and nullify his opponents best weapons. He did it with the Hopkins right hand after the first few rounds and was barely even touched after that. This fight would also be at 168lbs, imo he gets made to look very ordinary with Calzaghe's movement. He doesn't have the single shot power or combination punching to stop JC either. His straight line flat footed movement would equate to a beating imo.
I am not going to debate Pavlik/Calzaghe, however, Pavlik has a fantastic lead right and is a natural southpaw, but has always fought orthodox. He's used his lead right effectivley in many fights, and has closed the show with it a few times. That's just a point of correction.
Kessler is overrated and would be knocked out by Abra...sorry, by Pavlik If Calz can hurt him Pav KOs him...
its very ignorant to say "would pavlik take this fight on". its pavlik who has earned the right to even consider this fight and its much more realistic to say "is kessler big enough to chase this fight". dont do that.

I think Kessler would be to fast for Pavlik. And way to good with his footwork,so Pavlik wouldn´t be able to back Kessler up. I think Kessler would either destroy Pavlik for 12 rounds. Or stop Pavlik,late in the fight.
Who has Kessler beaten so far? Even Taylor would give him hell... Imo he has yet to prove if he is as good as many people think...he needs to fight better opposition.
Taylor may be a better style match up because of Taylor's speed. Waiting to see how he looks against Froch, though I'm not sure Froch will be a valid test.
