So Adamek refused to fight Hopkins...

A good chunk of them dudes aint available...especially BJ Flores who already flat out refused to fight Adamek(he ended up fighting Banks).And i would love nothing more than for Adamek to unify against anybody but something tells me that having to deal Con King to get to \Jones will cause problems.

 

500k is a slap in the face to a champion like Adamek.. **** that, it's disrespectful..

It's hopkins' fault.. I didnt want to see his boring ass anyways.. people started jumping on the bandwagon again just because he schooled PAvlik but I always thought that he wouldnt get that brave against Adamek.. NO way... Adamek/hopkins would have been boring thanks to Hops..

yeah it would have been and Adamek could have easily lost on clinching,headbutts,lowblows and faking of lowblows.No way Hopkins would try and fight the way he did against Pavlik.He would revert back to his usual ways.

 

Guillermo jones is led by DOn king who just lost one belt with cunningham , adamek is not ingroring him he is the one being ignored , the case is that papa king has not many belts left , so he wont take a risk like that for sure ,

Also in adameks latest interview he said that he would like to fight afolabi for unification (as giacobe is busy with wlodarczyk and guillermo wont take the fight for the reasons above)
But showtime and/or Hbo are not interested with this matchup , So tell me HOw the fuk they could be interested to show any fight with any of those 2 bums that pirlo has mentioned

I wouldn't be shocked if Adamek faces a scrub in Poland in his next fight. He does that and you know what - he STILL makes more money than he would have fighting Hopkins.

Jones beat the **** out of Arslan BEFORE Cunningham and Adamek fought. So he was already established as a force to be reckoned with.

If beating former undisputed champion Bell, tough contender Banks, and IBF champion Cunningham doesn't prove he is the best, than I don't know what will convince you.

It'll be awhile. Going by Guillermo's schedule we'll be lucky to see him fight twice by the next Olympics.

Besides, he lost to a greener version of Cunningham than the one Adamek beat. Guillermo's top 5 caliber, but you can't completely ignore that Adamek beat the guy who beat him.

 

I don't blame Adamek for refusing Hopkins's bull**** offer one bit. Doubtful Hops was serious anyway. Probably pulling a "DLH" and just trying to keep his name relevant.

I dont know that much about the Hopkins/Adamek thing. But My question is how much has Adamek been making in he last few fights??? I for one have my doubts that he has been making over a half a mill in any fight. And his people are talking out both sides of thier mouths when it comes to this.

From what I have heard that hopkins would have got like 4 mill and Adamek 500k..That dont really sound fair to me, But really you have to start somewere. Adamek would be hard pressed to make that kind of money actaully fighting any of the top cruisers. Hopkins took sh*t money to fight both Tito and Oscar compared to what they got and Hop took those fights aways.

 

Hopkins low-balled an offer of $500k to Adamek. Which was basically his way of saying, 'I don't wanna lose to another white boy'.

 

Why even make the offer???

I know some seem to think that its because Hopkins wants to get his name out there, but he could call out or make offers to other fighters that would make a much bigger wave in the boxing world. If he was only doing it for that reason. I think that it too simple. I think that Hopkins knows that Adamek dont make that much in his fights and saw a shot at getting a fairly high profile fighter in the ring at a discounted price. As I said I dont think that it was a fair offer, but I have no doubt that it was a real offer, and Hopkins would have fought him if he accepted.
