I think comparing him to pavlik is generous i'm confident that once he finds himself in the ring with some 1 well schooled he gets a leason taught in the basic sweet science and loses embarassingly

hmmm like when pavlik fought hopkins

com'on man valero only now has the opertunity to fight in america and get big meaningful fights. in the 2 years if he's still fighting bums like mora, lockett, rubio then you can compare him to the clearly over hyped pavlik untill then get off his back

I think its still too premature to make a comparison like that. We still need to see a little more.

I think he's better than people give him credit for..I think he'll have a couple titles one day..I think if he meats a JMM, Mayweather, Pac, etc...He gets beat though!

He is definitely better than what most people think. Granted he is not on some sort of path to greatness but to say he is a bum shows either how biased you are or how uneducated of the game you are

I believe so, i think that marquez, if he fights him, will be the very man, even though juan manuel marquez is surely pressing father time at this stage.. valero is incredibly strong though, it will take the best to expose him, and there is no shame in that!

A master boxer will drain his strength and leave his lack of defense on display!

I said last week here that Valero reminded me of Pavlik.

Valero has 25 fights. KP didn't really step up until his 25th fight. We'll have to see what Valero does if and when he steps up in class. Pavlik beat the man who beat Hopkins at 160 in his 31st pro fight. I don't think Valeros is anywhere near read for the top dogs. Until he is your back handed attempt at an insult won't fly.
