I think it was after Tyson getting brutalized by Lewis, they had an interview with him in the locker room, and Tyson's holding his baby and just battered and seemed to know it was over for him, only interview I've seen where Tyson appeared normal/sane.

Arguello had nothing left, he was entitled to sit down for once in his long career, he more than proved he was a warrior in previous fights (this one included), just because they are boxers & not football players doesnt mean they have to dice with death, especially when their body doesnt respond the way it used to at their best. I think absolutely no less of Arguello for staying down, he had 0 chance to win the fight, he realised he had `lost it`, that in itself was probably a worse feeling than the physical pain of the fight. Ps. My saddest moment was probably Morales - Pac II, as soon as Erik slumped to the floor, I says to my friend `he`s finished` I had a glimmer of hope that it was just a bad couple of nights vs Raheem & Pac but deep down I knew it was over... the 3rd Pac fight confirmed it, that was sad for me too but it was just confirmation really of what my head was telling my heart for months. :good
i havent saw sanchez lopez 2, i have and have watched the first one and thats a great fight, will look around for the rematch Arguello wasnt calm maybe afterwards but not when he was getting counted out he looked like a broken man and he was close to tears my version of the fight has no commentry so i dont hear th post fight interview i dont hold it against arguello he was justified on what he did

Agreed but whenever he speaks about it he seems to have no qualms or emotions to it. If you didn't know any better you'd think it was just another fight for him. I guess because he un-retired and fought on afterwards?
arguellos a great sportsman and has got over it but that sight is so sad a great warrior sitting down taking the count almost in tears
Now, that one I could feel good about. Tyson was battered but the madness did finally seem to have gone. But of course it didn't end there. And one that's always stuck with me, and fifty years from now I bet it still will, was Tyson coming out of his corner at the start of the 6th round against McBride. Streaming with water and sweat, face scrunched up, biting his gloves in a nervous tic. Very sad.
