Farmy is pointing out -- quite rightly -- that Haye refused to fight anyone in the top 10 before getting a chance at the Klitschkos. For some reason Haye was reluctant to risk a fight against a top contender in order to earn a shot at the brothers. This is called cashing out.
Nobody has ever outjabbed the towering Klitschko. As a case study, look what happened to Sultan Ibragimov. Ibragimov has faster hands and a sneakier jab than Haye, and he couldn't lay a glove on Vlad. Vlad is going to ice Haye. You can put that in the bank.
the barrett fight is not all that impressive. first of all it was like 3kds with two of those flash kds, one slip by barrett, and one where he basically fell. also barrett put him down too (but monte ruined that by hitting him after he put haye down). barret also landed the jab a bit. the stoppage was probably inevitable the way barrett kept on falling all of the place but i don't think he was out of it. haye better try and jump on wlad early and overwhielm him because i don't think he can hold up from wlad's shots. haye's got about a 30% chance and even if he overcomes the odds and catches wlad, vitaly who doesn't have chin issues will punish him
My thoughts exactly. Also, Barrett is as washed up as they get. He once was fairly decent but he has gone to shat in the last five years. Haye wants no part of Vitali, I promise you.
Haye is out for the money only. Haye tried to get everything he could to fight Vlad. If he is so sure of such an easy win, they why bother? Haye knows he is going to get knocked out.
If Haye ever needed to make weight he could cut off that afro :rofl For some reason I think of Craig David & "Seven Days" every time I see Haye. :blood
agreed about haye not being too keen on fighting vitaly for obvious reasons, but to be fair i don't think monte was all that 'washed up'. monte showed some pop and and some quickness in that fight and his fight against the limited giant tye fields. granted it looked as if his punch resistance is now down versus haye (and as usual his gameplan was nonexistent), but imo monte was still a fringe contender in a weak era and it's at least a decent win for haye, just not all that impressive and certainly not a reason why wlad should be scared
Austin ran his mouth before he fought Vlad and he is 6' 6". Jefferson did that same, he was 6' 6", so was McCline. Vlad is taller than they, he stopped Austin out in the second round. He knocked Jefferson in the second round. He stopped McCline in the 10th when McCline was at his peak.
I'm going out on a limb-Haye K.O 1 I ain't jokin', I can just see Haye walking through Wlad, who hasn't fought someone who has come to win for a while. I don't mean 'walk through' his punches, I just mean that Haye will take the risk in order to get his punches off, he knows he has to K.O Wlad to even stand a chance of winning, because, in all liklihood Wlad will stop him or win a Germany-decision. I think Haye will go for it, stifle Wlad's range by getting in close, and with his angles, Wlad will not know when he has been hit. Hopefully when he gets to see a reply about five minutes later once he's regained his feet!!!
McCline just has a problem letting his hands go. When he wasn't tentative, he was an excellent fighter.
Fair enough, but I think Haye's lack of height will be to his advantage. He doesn't have much of a reach disadvantage either, and, most importantly, he's better (and a harder puncher) than either of the guys you just mentioned.
