You can't go wrong with Hauser, but man can he get long-winded sometimes. Did ANYONE finish that treatise on John Duddy's dispute with Irish Ropes? Holy crap.

I hate that Fischer left Maxboxing. I tried hitting the "new" website, but it's soulless.

I like how Cliff Rold breaks down fights.

Overall, I'm going to go with Bernard Fernandez.

More or less true. But at least when Doug covered a sparring session, you knew exactly what happened instead of these urban sparring myths that go around.

I used to make decent bank off of Doug's sparring reports.

Valero, well, everyone has a weakness... :rofl

Hugh McIlvanney and Thomas Hauser for me.
"McIlvanney on boxing" is a must-read for any fan. It's basically a collection of his work from the last 30 years.
There isn't a single piece which isn't superbly written.
Hauser is the only guy online who I go out of my way to read.
His work is leagues above anyone else out there at the moment.
No other writer on the net comes up with anything as well-researched and informative as his pieces on HBO for example.

Not sure - I haven't read anything by him in ages.
Your best bet is to buy one of his books - "McIlvanney on boxing" or "The Hardest Game" - you won't be disappointed.
