    clottey dont have **** to trouble cotto, nothing at all ....:bbb

    cotto's gonna make an example out of clottey for calling out so many names...and claiming to be the most avoided fighter out there...

    Compared to Marg he does, doesnt he? And you said it will be as tuff if not tuffer then the Marg fight right?

    He throws 30-40 punches a round
    Marg throws 85-95 punches a round:deal

    Your dreaming buddy. this is the bet defensive fighter Cotto has ever faced. Lets see what happenes when Cotto cant land **** and gets frustaed.

    All that means is that Clotteys punches are gonna be vicisious and he wont get tired fast. This is gonna be a great fight, if somebody thinks Clottey is getting KO then they need to layoff the crack. Cotto can win this fo sho, but he can lose this too.

    I beg to differ...Cotto will/does not run...I guess some fans choose to visualize his boxing sequences as running when infact he's doing excellent work off the backfoot jabbing and countering the opposition. Take for example his fight vs Torres anyone can argue this was probably his most buzzed moment thus far yet Cotto attacked and showed true mettle and valor by stopping Torres in the face of adversity. Even while Margo was on the verge of stopping Cotto he choose to trade and land some sweet combos.Clotty will be tough but there's no questioning Cotto's heart.

    Cotto will not run from Clottey. He did a bit of running against Shane and Margo but I still won't classify him as a runner.

    He did a lot of running against Margo. I agree with you though, he's not a runner. However, he will get on his bike if he gets hurt.

    I guess you can define it as so...though I tend to lean towards the fact that sugar started to look desperate coming forward winging right hands while getting countered by cotto for his efforts. I think fans are still not used to Cotto's versitility and choose to label anything he does out of the norm as him being uncomfortable or in this situation a "runner"

    Reg...what cotto does is purely situational, I find it commendable that he has the mental clarity the evaulate and react properly while in the midst of a battle. He may choose to trade or box...how would rate floyds preformance vs Baldo, DLH, his first bout vs JLC??? All fights that PBF landed less than Cotto did when he faced Margo? Do you consider those "running" performances?? What Cotto did vs Margo was impliment the wrong game plan for too long and paid dearly for it tainted wraps or not, the man is a class above margo yet he allowed himself to fall short of victory by not clinching and nullifying Margos attack.

    These were all solid performances by Floyd's standards.


    Floyd also won all of those fights and got hit a whole lot less than Cotto did against Margo.

    Floyd did his fair share of running against JLC and at the end of the Baldo fight. There really wasn't any running against Hoya. Floyd' best performance may have been when he did the most running, that was against Corrales

    Everyone can talk all they want about the Cotto having the wrong gameplan. It looked more to me like Margo simply had a good gameplan. Margo did not allow Cotto to go to the body(Cotto even admitted that he tried but found few openings), Margo's size and strength allowed him to keep the fight out of the center of the ring, he was able to constantly pin Cotto against the ropes, he was able to land big shots while Cotto was on the ropes, and he was able to rolll many of Cotto's shots.

    I find it funny how so many claim Cotto is so much better than Margo and boxed so great in that fight. If that were the case, Cotto would've been able to dictate the pace. That never happened. Cotto could not keep the fight in the middle of the ring, and he wasn't able to keep off the ropes. Margo systymatically broke Cotto down. Even though Cotto was winning some early rounds, he was taking a lot of punishment that took its toll. It was a good fight on Margo's end. I just wish more would give him credit for that performance instead of dismissing it and making a bunch of excuses for Cotto.
