Another name that my grancha used to mention as well as some of the older fellas in my local & to be honest they probably heard it from there own dads or Granchas . He was fairly local to me & I have heard a bit , especially how everyones Great Granch was at his funeral !!!!! He sounded like an interesting character & am I right in saying he was well respected in the states at the time...???
this guy was amazing never fought for a world title because he promised to box on a charity event instead great fighter
