When, if ever has Pacquiao beaten a top fighter in their prime convincingly?

Pac has beaten plenty of prime fighters. But the very best wins just so happened to be guys who were a bit past their physical primes. However, that dosent mean those wins were not better had they been in their physical prime because Pac got the elite level guys when they were overall at their best given the fact that they were just past their prime and their expierince level was at an all time high.

To Pacman this fight with Hatton is definitely his most important fight to date. If he loses he will validate in many minds all those who claim that he faced past his prime or shot fighters. To many, including myself, his performance against Hatton will define and erase all doubts I have about Manny. It is the same for Ricky Hatton although he is a couple of fights away from proving his worth, Pacquiao does it with this one.

I doubt it. There has to come a time where you give a fighter his due. Mine will come with the defeat of Ricky Hatton. I thought it would be with DLH but I can't accept that win for some reason.

You'll be in for a rough ride if you're pinning your hopes on Valero. This has nothing to do with ur thread topic(accdg to you) but for all of us, it has everything to do with it.

The same thing applies to Mayweather/Calzaghe/Jones etc, but did you start a thread about it before? It's obvious and you don't have to deny your hatred for Pac. If you hate him so much why make another thread. Your just adding to his popularity instead of discrediting him.

Hey I have one suggestion, get a life.

Everyone gives Pac his dues for the battles he has had with the mini fab four. I mean he IS the p4p king isn't he? He didn't get that distinction because hellblazor and others want to have a fellow filipino as the best fighter in boxing. I just can't stand how those posters make he him out to be unbeatable and think every fighter pac beat was at his best and could have beaten anyone aside from pac the night they fought.

This guy is in the opposite end of nuthuggery. If Manny would have fought Soto, Valero, or who ever you say he was ducking then other peopel would come out and say that he is ducking Marquez, Morales, Barrera etc. Its a lose, lose situation. I think he shoulda fought Guzman because he woulda got his ass boxed to death, but I understand that aint gonna happen cuz DLH, Hatton, Marquez, Floyd, Cotto, Mosely, etc. are in the way of that. Chi woulda been a good warm up fighter for a real fight.

I hear you. They should understand that Pac might still loose to Hatton, and if that happens, they eating crow about everything from DLH to Morales. I like pac and hope he beats hatton but sometimes I just want Pac to lose because of his other fans. I try not to let it get to me cuz I've read the arguments on here and its a waste of energy.
