Don't get me wrong, I love Pac but he is on the way to become only a businessman, with Arum's "expert" advice he will fight only the names not taking any risks like Valero, JMM and others.

Do you want him to become DLH or PBF? I don't

As soon as they started looking at money fights they ****ed the fights that real boxing fans wanted to see.

if he wins only floyd, jmm and cotto really make any sense and they are all risks in my opinion. pac has allways taken risks, even if they are very calculated, and i dont think he will stop after this fight. if he beats ricky then i dont see the need for him to fight anyone under 140 besides jmm and anyone above 140 is a risk.

Sort of off topic, but IMO, the best for boxing would be for the Hayemaker to win June 20th. Get attention back to the HW division, and with it, the general public and "casual" fans. No disrespect to Wlad, I wish to see more of him and to see him do well, but a Haye win would be a big shake up in the "Flagship" division that people just don't seem to give a damn about anymore.

**** off the worst thing would be for hatton to win. we'll never hear the end of it hatton and his obsessed fans will be claiming he's the p4p best.

When I first saw this title I thought it was going to be about if Pac wins he fights Mayweather and stops Mayweather fighting Cotto, Mosely, Williams, etc. Or even himself moving up to fight these guys rather than Valero JMM. My argument against that extremely valid point would have been Pac winning probably is more detrimental to the welterweight division than the whole of boxing as some ecxiting fights would have still been made.

Then I read the whole of your post...................must have been a brain fart.

Also to add, surely Hatton fans couldnt be begrudged in going a little wild over a Hatton win considering the superlatives currently being heaped on Manny. Secondly, considering Hatton seems to not be favoured by the majority to win.

If Pac was to lose to Hatton @ 140lbs, His best bet would be to move down to 135lbs.
    (Should he continue to fight)

Anyone else feel Ricky will announce a retirement if he wins?

It's actually better if Pacquio wins because he'll keep taking on the bigger challenges. Hatton already said the only thing for him left is to become the best p4p fighter meaning beating Pacquio and Maywhether. So if Hatton wins he'll proclaim himself the best while Maywhether would likely come out of retirement to challenge Hatton's claim to p4p best because he could win the fight and make a lot of money.

Pacquio on will remain a hot commodity as long as he keeps winning and the more fights he wins the more options he has. Right now he has people from 135 willing to go up to 140, all the 140 lbers, and 147 lbers willing to oblige catch weights. Not too many of these people are calling out Ricky, and even if he won he'd only be interested in Maywhether.
