6-11 265lbs. Imagine if the elite athletes like Dwight were in the boxing gyms training every day since they were kids. Not every big guy could do it but those as coordinated and athletically gifted as say Dwight or Lebron could have incredible.

He would KO both Klits early probably. He is physically superior in every aspect than wlad and vitali.

Except we have no idea if he has enough power to KO a garden variety tomato can or a halfway decent chin. But no, let's go ahead and say he would easily beat the two top heavyweights in the world-boy boxers must be a joke compare to other athletes.

What if the Pope wasnt a catholic? These threads have been done to death. Dwight is an awesome physical specimen but id rather see him as a basketball player than a boxer. Saw that dude at MSG. **** man he's big!!!! :yikes

Different type of athleticism, no guarantee he (or any great athlete from any sport) would be any good at boxing.

He'd obviously have more chance of becoming a great boxer than you average Joe, but also obviously much less than someone very talented at boxing, like Larry Holmes.

Athletic talent is specific and it doesn't work like that.

These types of assumption always annoys me.. Some people believe that just because these basketball and footbball players are huge that they would be successful as well in Boxing.. WEll they wouldn't..That's ****in dumb. Yea ive heard alot of foos saying that Shaq would **** **** up in boxing, well guess what? He couldn't even **** up a much smaller BRAD MILLER , a white guy who used to play for Sacramento..

Are you honestly that ****ing stupid?

Yes, lets take an athlete that has never boxed in his life, and say he will have greater power, speed, boxing fundamentals, a superior chin, ring intelligence, footwork, and generalship and would OBVIOUSLY beat two world champion.

If he was groomed to be a boxer, I believe his athleticism would make him atleast a contender level fighter.

BOxing is not like basketball and football.. It takes a different kind of HEART to make it big in boxing... I dont care how big and how much muscle u have cuz without HEART, ur not gonna be ****.. Youll just hurt yourself.

" U can play basketball and u can play football, but u dont PLAY boxing, I do this **** for real "

I agree with you, but to be an elite athlete in any major professional sport, you are going to have heart.

Finally some sense in one of these threads. Making these comparisons to a sport as psychologically grounded as boxing is just ridiculous. Some people have it, some don't. Some average joe's can instinctively throw an accurate combination in a scrap with no prior experience. Some basketball players fling their arms around like window lickers in a scrap despite being excellent athletic specimens. Boxing is so unique, and heavily reliant on mental aspects that any cross sport comparisons are more useless and innaccurate than with any other sport.

Don't mean to take it out on the OP, but there have been similar threads by other posters that have been annoying.

Boxing moreso than any other though. Boxing you are getting punches thrown at you and victory is achieved by whoever inflicts the most physical damage. That takes a certain kind of person to do that.

I agree, but I put the mental toughness on the same level as pro football players (American) and rugby players. Both games are equally tough and I will say the NFL leaves its participants in worse shape than boxing.

Read the thread title again moron. Nothing is certain, but it more likely Howard would be successful in boxing than not.
