Which was the last HW fight with huge audience? Tyson-Douglas? Holmes-Cooney?

This is great, people were a little afraid it wouldn't sell out.

Holmes-Cooney had 32,000 in a custom built stadium in Caesar's Palace parking lot.

A few years before Holmes-Ali did 25,000 in the same place.

I don't think we will see anyone in any weightclass coming close to 32,000 in the States which is sad.

Tyson vs Douglas was in Tokyo in the Egg Dome I believe and I am not sure what attendance was.

Egg Dome has a capacity of 55,000. Dunno if it was sold out.

    Ali-Foreman of course had 72,000. Ali-Spinks II had 63,000. Foreman-Frazier had 36,000. Moorer-Schulz had 35,000 in Germany.
Ali-Norton III must be big at Yankee stadium....

Awesome! I'm fairly sure the neither Klitschko has fought infront of more than 17,000 recently (Vitali - Peter was 17k and I think most Wlads recent fights have been ~15 to 16k), does this suggest that Haye is fairly significant part of the draw? Or do you think Wlad would have sold so many against Thompson/Rahman etc in a bigger stadium?

Vitali vs Sanders did 19k at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

It was the record at that venue for any sport until Margarito vs Mosley did a little over 20,000.

For 30,000 and with the same low prices: the latter.

To reach the full capacity of 70,000 or so he needs a charismatic opponent as Haye plus his British fans... he'd likely get the same numbers by fighting cave troll Valuev though cos he's quite well known in Germany.
