When, if ever has Pacquiao beaten a top fighter in their prime convincingly?

i hear you. btw guzman is a very good fighter and one of my faves and would have had an opportunity to become elite if he did not **** up his weight against campbell who i think he wouldve beaten if they fought. he lacked discipline and he is a wasted talent imo

guzman and pac would have been a good fight. but well, **** happens.

Juan Diaz unified the division. Beat many contenders and some current champs and fought the best of the division.

David Diaz hit the lotto when he landed a lucky shot in a fight he was getting dominated against santa cruz. He got a belt through corruption and lost to a shot Morales. He sucks and will probably retire as his purpose of being a sacrificial lamb to an elite fighter moving up has been met. We will never hear from him again. :deal

you can nitpick any fighters career like that. Tyson beat Holmes when he was old, Spinks when he was too high in weight. Hagler beat Duran,Hearns when they were moving up in weight and he was a natural middleweight, then he lost to a welterweight. Any excuses work for the fans of a specific fighter.

Do you even like boxing? How can someone who is a member of a boxing forum website not know about Pac v Barrera I?! :nut

Pac was a largely unknown former flyweight with two stoppage defeats on his record, and he went in against the p4p#3 Barrera, who had beaten Morales and Hamed in recent years.

Seriously, you should check it out and then maybe you won't make horribly idiotic threads like this again.

So Barrera was prime? That's the last time Pacquiao has done what I asked then, correct? That was in 2003. That's a long time for him to be considered P4P #1 now.

It was an SD in favor of Campbell, Juan impressed many when he stepped up in class. As for David, he got dominated and showed to the entire world how limited he was. All the title holders Juan beat at least earned their position, David didn't even do that. If you want to dissect resumes, try and taking a look at David's and see if there is anyone you know in which you can criticize.

You also have to keep in mind how young Diaz is. He has already accomplished more than Pac at his current age, and Diaz has an equal amount of losses to pac except Juan's losses came against elite fighters.

Edit: Diaz has accomplished more than pac at the age of 24, which is how old Diaz is now.

Pac should have fought Juan Diaz, but he picked a total paper champion in David Diaz. Juan Diaz might have beat Pacquiao!

Exactly. He cherrypicked " DAVID" Diaz instead of gunning for the real Diaz..

Juan Diaz would have ****ed him up anyway. It would have been like the Morales fight but more brutal with pacman bloodied and wanting to call a no mas.
