How does he stand more of a chance?

What will he lose by fighting at 147 that he will have at 140?

He gets to cut weight instead of not cut weight?

floyd can carry his weight alot better at 147 for one

it has also come to my notice that the move 135 has been succesful but also very telling in his punch restistance
jaun diaz troubled marquez and if he had more pop he would have finished marquez off
moving up 2 whole weight classes will not help him at all

Mayweather Marquez is a dream match up

but anything about 140 is a shameful mismatch

    Marquez is barealy a lightweight
Mayweather is now a comfortable LWW

Even forcing Marquez to go beyond lightweight is unfair

Floyd can carry his weight better?

MARQUEZ WONT BE ADDING WEIGHT he already weighs like what 150 at LW on fight night?

Floyd punching power is going be the same at 140 or 147.

Moving up to 147 isn't going to change anything.

What is Floyd gaining by fighting at 147 that he will lose at 140?

Neither of them at 147 would cut much if at all any weight.

What does fighting at 140 bring Marquez if they both weigh under 150lbs on fight night?

floyd used to bang guys out in his ealier days the couple moves up weight classes have lost his power a little
but in jmm case his punch power might not be any good at 147

and floyd knows this, he aint no fool, that kid got brains
he learnt these triks from the best which is oscar de la hoya

How would he gain any ****ing punching power at 140 if they are both going to weight under 150 lbs on fight?

Do you think cutting weight helps a fighter or something?

okay let me put it this way
    in simple form
when de la hoya move up to 160 good he do the same damge he could to light-middle's or welter's than he could to fully fledged middleweights?
    no he could not
same goes for mosley when he moved up to 154

i think if it were up to you, guys would move all the way up to heavyweight and be able to do the same damage they could do at lightweight

Okay. But here's what you are not getting.

Neither will weigh over 150 on fight night.

There fore if they fight at 140 or 147 the extra weight won't change.

Floyd is not a full fledge WW. He doesn't but maybe a 1 lb to make weight at 147.

If they fought at 140, all you are doing is forcing two guys to cut a few lbs. Instead of not having to cut weight at all.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE if they were to fight at 140 or 147.

All i am saying its a big deal what weight they fight at because on fight night they won't weight any different.

Unless Marquez decides to pack on weight for some reason.

Take Hatton for example, he tried to pack on weight against Collazo and weighed 160 and he did not fight well at all.

Dropped down to 140 for some fights, went back up to 147 BUT. He weighed in at 145 or something but still only weighed 154, what he normally weighs as a Jr WW.

Marquez just needs to not pack on weight for this fight.

but that will mean he is carrying unnecessary body mass
which will only slow him down
that is why he probably does not fight at that weight in the first place :huh
