Paul Appleby v Martin Lindsay thread

This is the one post I will be bringing back up with a chuckle on my big scottish chops when chuckles nails his man.

& it aint no bravado, Appleby is being underrated so much on ESB its crazy.
Why? Cos irish boxing is on the up!!!

Crazy stuff, everyone is gettin swept away in a tide of optimism cos Irish boxing is doing well. Its as simple as that, paul Applebey is going to win. The kid is too good for Martin. Wait & see!

 

I think Appleby takes this but I'm going to say UD. I'll be honest I haven't seen much of Lindsay apart from the KO over Matthews. While that was a great KO it's not exactly a great win, really. Meanwhile I have seen Appleby fight, and I have been impressed. I purely going on his advantages in experience, going the distance etc. Which is probably not a great idea but meh..

 

Trust me, its a great idea to pick Appleby to win. The irish are just getting carried away cos they are doing so well just now, & are forgetting just what their boy is up against here.

Come on Dunks...there is so much smoke being blown up Applebys arse on this board its unbelieveable. I don't see in Appleby what others obviously do. I think that he is one dimensional, he appears to have a modicum of power but loses the plot when he can't put it to decent effect and he in turn is put under pressure. Maybe he would be a better all around fighter if he just relaxed and went about his work in a calmer manner without constantly thinking KO, he has got to realise that he is not going to starch or stop every fighter he faces.

I honestly think that Lindsay takes this UD.

 

we will see on saturday dunky who is laughing . i no lindsay has 2 much for appleby and if u watch the mathews fight lindsay was not really behind and the commentators just give him no credit at all . lindsay was a top amature and appleby won nothing really so we will just see on saturday.

 

Appleby is improving with every fight and as I said on Bunces show he will have too much for Lindsay. Matthews was comfortably out boxing Martin and theres no way one of those lunging hooks is gonna catch Paul out.

we have good cause to pick lindsay...not simply because hes irish but because he is the better fighter...you dont seem the the brightest so i will explain something here...promoters dont make vast investments [which is what hayemaker have did with lindsay]in fighters they think will lose conclusively to someone like appleby...im sorry to burst your bubble here pal but you have been listening too much to the sky pundits bumming and blowing about how good appleby is, which is not the case....but your gonna find this out on saturday night for yourself...lindsay by late stoppage

Yeah i think so too if it wasnt for the knockdown/slip John would have got the decision.
