Silva is way to cautious. he doesn't want to take a chance exchanging with a guy he can see his punchs coming from a mile away. I can't see how Silva does it. Why would you NOT want to exchange with this guy?

    I loved it.

Anderson has figured out what i have always expected.

That old Pugilistic boxing that died out in boxing today. works better in mma.

This is how Sam Mcvea was able to beat bjj blk belt Tano Matsuda back in 1908.

Anderson Silva is bored and had no fear for his last two opponents.

Anderson carried that dude and could have finsihed him much, much earlier.

Leities had ZERO belief in himself too.

They need to put him in with Akiyama, GSP then put him in the mix at 205.

I don't see what you guys are complaining about. What's wrong with counterpunching a guy to death? What do you want him to do? Charge in like Arturo Gatti? I thought it was a display of well rounded skills between highly skilled MMA fighters. Every fight can't be fight of the year or fight of the night material.

Stout vs Wiman was the fight of the night. Great battle that one.

What about those GSP chants? Will this lead to a Silva vs GSP fight down the road?

I agree. They need to put Silva in with someone he will take seriously. Otherwise, I fear he's going to continue to clown around with seriously out-classed opponents. It's almost like he didn't want to hurt Leities so he was just wasting time to win the decision. There were plenty of times to lock up a clinch and put Leites away. Instead of going for it, Silva would back off and do some funky dance. I really don't get the guy. He's an oddball, to be sure.

It was a smart fight for Silva but he could have taken Lietes out before the end of the fight, he just didn't want to take a chance, he would rather dance and be flashy and safe then take a chance, bottom line.

That's what Roy Jones would call chicken fighting. Like his roosters. Silva is an admitted Roy Jones fan.

He wasnt "dancing and clowning". He was trying to find gaps. Lettuce did a great job staying back, going down a lot, and surviving Andersons blows. He also did a great job of surviving when he got poked in the eye and got no help from Lavigne.
But at any second in the fight, the Spider could have struck. It was a hugely intense fight

What don't you get TKO4? Silva isn't a risk taker he'd rather win on points or tactically then take a risk in getting caught.

Anderson toyed with him instead of finishing him.

He could have finished him, no doubt about it, but he did'nt.

He spent KO time pissing about like a clown.

This fight should not have gone the distance because his opponent had no belief in himself and no hope in hell of winning.

Anderson did nothing in the first two rounds when he could have blitzed him out of there in those first two rounds.

Stout vs Wiman was fight of the night. Shogun looked good in dismantling Chuck Liddell. Silva won a tactical 5 round decision over Leites. That's about it.
