The knowledgeable German fight fans for sure know Haye and his achievements at cruiser, but how many of them are out there in Germany??

I dare to say that most German fight fans are fans of a certain fighter.Thats why it doesnt really matter who will turn up to fight their boy.
Wlad collected a paycheck of ? around 18.000.000$ for his fight against Thompson.Well, once again I dare to say that Thompson had been better known in Germany before he lost to Wlad due to his encounter with German based Luan Krasniqui.
As our fellow poster nbt rightfully pointed out: none of Haye 's fight has been shown on German tv up to now.
Haye is a nobody in Germany. He is Wlad's opponent, nothing more.
I also doubt that disrespectful and clownish behaviour sells any additional ticket in Germany.I dare to say that the Germans are not r eally that fond of that kind of behaviour.
Almost all German or German based fighers avoid talking trash in front of a tv camera or a mike.
Their German pr omoters go beserk if they watch one of their boys using strong language in front of a mike or a tv camera.

Yes, if they've sold 30 K in the first day, they'll certainly sell out the full 60 K , or 78 K, or whatever the capacity is. Easily.

The tickets sell 90% because it´s a Klitschko and 10% because of Haye ;)

Germany is Klitschko-Land and nearly all fights of them are sold out

    10%,eh? You are too generous,serenata!

Wlad could fight micky mouse or donald duck -any arena would be sold out very quickly.

Thompson is far better known in Germany than Haye is right now. However,it doesnt really matter who will turn up to fight Wlad in that soccer stadium june the 20th.
I am just wondering where Vitaly vs Valuev will be staged in Germany.Well,Wlad can sell 65.000 tickets for a fight against a totally unknown black Brit.I guess that Vitaly will be able to sell 200-300.000 tickets for a fight with Valuev who is very well known in Germany, too.
I am not really sure whether Valuev is a kind of household name in Germany, but I am quite positive that whoever is interested in sport has heard his name.
A pity that Kiev's central soccer stadium cant be beamed up to a German site for a couple of hours.
If I am not wrong Kiev's central stadium has a capicity of 100,000.

JUst like Ali said back in the day; " A hundred percent will be coming to see me, but 99 will be coming to see me get beat". Thats whats going on here. Haye has hyped the fight and it would have sold out anywhere because its finally a good heavyweight match-up for once. Most of the people coming to see it are coming to watch Haye get beat but I suspect he will win and win big. Wladimir doesn't have as much put into the fight as Haye does and you always have to be careful with a driven man. Haye has his record, his reputation, everything on it while wlad is just making empty promises about punishing him. Haye has been hungry for this fight for years while Wlad thinks that it will be another easy win. Could be bad news for him. Haye is going into a hostile environment so it is easy for him to stay motivated the entire way while Wlad may relax a little being at home with the crowd. I guess the rematch will sell out too in England.

And if you go back and look at Wlads fight before this, they weren't even close to selling out so stop saying that. People are coming to watch the fight because Haye showed up with that T-shirt hahahahahahhha. When you stir up emotions in fight fans, they come out to see the fight and Wladimir fighting Thompson or Rahman or another nobody is not exciting but him fighting a trash talking cuiserweight is. Even if he's gonna get beat by him hahahahahahahha. Haye in 2.

I suspect there will be tens of thousands of British people buying tickets and coming over for the fight. This would not happen if Wlad was fighting another bum. I think the crowd on the night will be 20-30% British. Haye is the one generating interest in the fight, not Wlad. Wlad has already got an established fan base in Germany, but Haye is getting British and American fans interested in the fight - which wouldn't have happened otherwise.

I think some people have vastly underestimated Haye's selling potential in this fight.

A big part of the brisk sales is Haye. Let's give credit where its due.

This is the best, most edge of your seat heavyweight fight in years.

Sure, Wlad is the bigger draw, yes, but given the threat that Haye brings, as well as him being a legit, and unified CW champion, that is what makes this a clash of the titans.........TWO unified champions facings each other...........Its only not Wlad selling this many tickets, its both of them.

Ibragimov, a legit, established heavyweight titleholder was a fairly in demand fight for Wlad, but nothing like this.............Ibragimov didn't bring the threat Haye does. Haye has the power to KO anyone, regardless of what weight class he comes from. People realize that.

This fight is very big in Europe. It shows how respected Wladimir is in gemany. Great Champion and great for boxing.

    The bigest fights in Europe:

    Max Schmeling – Walter Neusel 102.000, Dirt-Track-Rennbahn in Hamburg-Locksted 1934

    Max Schmeling - Adolf Heuser 60.000 - 80.000, Adolf-Hitler-Kampfbahn aka Mercedes-Benz-Arena 1939

Wladimir Klitschko - David Haye 60.000, Veltins Arena, Gelsenkirchen 2009

Ricky Hatton - Juan Lazcano 55.000, City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, UK 2008

Joe Calzaghe - Mikkel Kessler 53.000, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales 2007

Chris Eubank - Nigel Benn 42.000, Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, UK 1993

Unbelievable, it is sold out. Some VIP Tickets are available. But the rest sold out.
