The only reason you are rooting for Hatton is because it makes floyd look better, i thought you dont root for 'white boys'?

Hatton done those things back in the domestic scene where frankly my nan could have had head movement and quick feet. But hatton couldnt cut those skills against the razor sharp fighters on the world stage like pretty boy, like pacquiao like marquez. Graham just didnt have enough technichal know - how. Instead he had ricky hitting a pillow for 15 rounds.

And contrary to what you said about Malignaggi and the feather fists your missing the point. The fact that malignaggi couldnt escape rickys onslaught because hatton could get inside paulies jab too easily with good head movement and defend and deflect his jabs with parrying and blocking. He also closed him down with quick footwork. It just highlights Hattons acquired attributes under Mayweather and shows Hattons got skills.

No wonder they call you irish...

I could see Snr. talking himself into a canning if he openly derides Hatton's performance. You'd like to think a proud fighter wouldn't stand for that. The Paulie fight indicated something was working well.

As for retirement... is it really that bad a job to be the #2 140lb fighter in the world? He's not the youngest boxing-30 in the world, but he's obviously still capable at a top-5 level at his weight.

no, if you have headmovement you use it. I have headmovement, and i dont stop using it just cus im in with high quality opposition. It may not be as effective, but being in with a good opponent doesnt make you ignore head movement and defence....Eamonn Magee was better than Malignaggi.... you don't box do you?

Infact i do box and regardless of how i may sound am a good amatuer boxer and know what im talking about. And infact there is no way and no reason to suggest that Eamonn Magee is better than Malignaggi?? Are you crazy?

Also, Hatton openly states that he decided to NOT use head movement and abandon his pure boxing skills when he took on Kostya. That crash bang wallop style proved effective and he kept it. So actually when the time suits you do stop using head movement.

Irish im sure your writing some witty remarks back and researching the life story of Eamon Maghee but i cant be bothered to argue with you. No disrespect, your probably a decent amatuer boxer who does know his boxing but i just cant be bothered lol.

Well put the Magee who fought Hatton in with the Malignaggi who fought Hatton and tell me who would win.... :yep your forgetting Magee was top ten in the division, working his way up to a shot at Sharmba until IT happened....Mr Feather fists could never outbox a slick Counter puncher like Magee... And the Hatton fight was the only one Magee stopped drinking and smoking for and he still gassed half way through, floored Hatton, wobbled him bad in the second. some people say it was a flash KD, in which case, why were Hattons first words straight after the fight "That first punch nearly took my ****ing head of"

he came in all guns blazing against Magee too, got floored promptly with a perfect counter(too used to easy victories), and had to box his way to victory

and i would be the first to tell you that Magee is a ***** of the highest order, but his boxing talent in the day just couldnt be ignored,Hatton sang his praises while he was still talking down to Junior Witter.

EXACTLY, Hatton always had head movement and defence...he just stopped using it,that was my point, being in with a top-ten fighter doesnt make you just stop using head-movement and defence, it may nullify it, but you only stop unless you CHOOSE to do so....so therefore, Hatton always had headmovement and defence, and yes it may have improved under Floyd(im not denying Floyds influence on Hatton, it was a great performce against Malignaggi, but Paulie is nothing special) and he may have started using it again.

But he is now-where near the fighter he could have been at this stage if he actually trained and was managed properly since the start of his career.

I predicted before Hatton Malignaggi that a guy who can't hurt Hatton is obviously not going to beat him or be able to hold him off and box, it was Malignaggi panicking and clinching all night, with Hatton showing the poor kid just what happens when you dont have the power to earn an opponents respect.

It's generally not a good idea to change trainers after a tune-up fight :good
